Thomas's numbers are all over the place and so I dropped his insulin down because I suspected he was getting too much. Ketones were negative last night, I haven't had a chance to check him today. I am not sure what to shoot at this point.

If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them.

    Hi,

If you repost this on the Feline Health board it will be seen by more members.

I've not used Novolin N myself but with that yellow preshot tonight and an AM nadir at 73 (Relion) if it were my cat I'd be looking to nudge the dose down - especially for a night time cycle (many cats run lower at night).

Whatever you decide to dose tonight, I suggest you start your mid-cycle testing at +1.5 (and certainly no later than +2 so you get some idea of where the cycle might be heading and for how long you may need to monitor.

Good to see Thomas moving away from those black BG readings. You're doing a great job with all the BG and ketone tests.

How is Thomas feeling and acting? And how are you?

    :bighug:

Oh sorry I didn't realize I posted to the wrong board. Good grief.

I'm tired, he's tired, we're both tired. I lowered his dose to a .5 just in case.

    Thanks for the assist Mogs!!

Good thinking. Especially when you're very tired the last thing either of you want is an insulin pyjama party. ;)
