Does anyone know where I can get Zobaline in Canada? Everywhere I have found it online so far is from the US, to get it to Canada it would cost as much in shipping as it does for the vitamins and I'm not sure if it would even make it across the border without hassles.

One Canadian members got some for her cat......I'll tag her to see where she got it. I checked the pet pharmacy in GTA & they had never heard of it!

@Brashworks - can you let Jennifer & Vegetable know where you got the Zobaline for Genghis? Thanks!:D

Can you get Vitacost methylcobalamin in Canada? I've seen that recommended here as well.

Try a natural foods store and look in the supplements section.

    @Vegetable Hi Jennifer!

I ended up having to order from Vitacost. I tried every pharmacy and natural food place but they only have it for humans in sublingual tablet form, which has ingredients cats just shouldn't have.

I went to Vitacost and ordered 5000 mcg capsules of methlylcobalamin and also 800 mcg folic acid capsules to make my own. Cost was $28.75 USD - I topped up the order with some vitamins for myself to get the free shipping ($49 US) and I had them in 3 days, no issues with customs, no duty to pay.

I now have 120 capsules of methyl-B and 100 capsules of folic acid. Given the ratio of ingredients from the Zobaline site, which has 60 tabs

I mixed the two (just emptied the capsules) 12 capsules of methyl-B12 to 5 capsules folic acid for the same ratio. I now have 200 doses for about the same price as 60 Zobaline, all for the 20 minutes it took to empty the capsules out. While my method is not "exact" (my chemistry professor would poop his drawers) both vitamins are water soluble, meaning any excess will pass through in the urine. They are considered non-toxic and overdose unlikely in either.

So, I mixed the two 12:5 and keep the mixture in an opaque, airtight container (they are sensitive to light) - when I feed Genghis, I take a knife tip amount and sprinkle it on her food. Voila!

    Hope that helps!

@Brashworks tha is for the info!
Good to know you had no issues with customs, I'm always a little leary ordering stuff & having it shipped to Canada.

I'm going to look into this a bit more.

You can also order Zobaline direct from Lifelink, at a hefty shipping fee to Canada. Since you are near the border, you might want to get a post box just on the other side and see if you can get it shipped there for cheaper.

Don't know of any change in the availability here. Check HERE for your shipping costs. They do ship to Canada but when I entered my postal code in Ontario, the shipping was $15.00 which is more than 50% of the product cost. And there is always the possibility of getting charged taxes/duty or having the product confiscated as customs seems to be very picky about some animal supplements these days. A friend of mine had supplements for her dog confiscated at the border.

    Ok thank you!
My friend lives in White Rock (15 minutes from the border in BC). I just shipped to my US postal box and she will pick up for me.
I go over a couple times a year so will order a supply when I do and pick up that way!
    Thanks for your help :)
