I've seen threads that the reading with Freestyle strips is within 10 points of a reading with AT strips. Can someone tell me if the reading comes out 10 points higher or lower, or can it be either? Can Freestyle strips be used with the AT meter, or just the AT2 meter? Thanks!!

When I was doing that the FS strips read consistently higher by 3 - 7%. However you MUST do your own same blood drop comparisons to be sure. Mine is the AT2 meter.

I use Free Style Lite test strips with my AT2 meter for curves. My FS strips run around 20 points lower than the AT strips. Like Kris said, you have to do your own test comparison. It's not an across the board variation. :)

If you are using an original AT meter (grey version), I believe you need to have the meter set to code 7 to use the current AT2 strips so it would probably be prudent to use code 7 with the Freestyle strips as well. I'd get some control solution so you can ensure the strips are reading in the desired range. You can order it online or call Zoetis directly. They might even send it to you free of charge.

I ve used the FS Lite strips in my AT2 for about 2 years, any time I've cross tested with an AT2 strip, the variation has been in the 20-30 point RANGE. Sometimes a little higher or lower. But the only time I get concerned is if the number is in the too low range, then I'll check the same poke with an AT2 strip to be safe.

Kind of thinking about switching to the ReliOn Micro tho...
