Hey guys, just done a curve test on Timmy. My spreadsheet shows the results, also below:

Should I be lowering or increasing his dosage, and if so by how much? He is currently on 4units a day. Injection times are 9am/9pm.

    Thanks

. Good job testing and getting the spreadsheet going!
That is a really steep drop. The problem with a steep drop is that it can trigger a bounce. While 4 units is getting you into perfectly safe numbers, her body may be perceiving it as too low and releasing stored insulin causing the numbers to rocket back up. I wonder if lowering for a few days would stabalize the bounce and help lower the preshot numbers. Would you be ok with trying 3 units for a few days, while testing and see what happens?

    What do other people think?

Also can you add to your signature what food you are feeding?

Absolutely, I can lower it to 3 units. At what intervals do you recommend testing during the lower dosage?
    Food updated in signature.

If you are doing a curve it's every 2 hours for 12 hours. If you just wanna catch a few mid cycle readings then I would aim for the +4-+6 area.

It's entirely possible that the dose will need to be increased, but by lowering it for now we can see what happens and see if the numbers settle a bit, then raise it again slowly if needed. :)
