Just feed him some more if it he wants it, just not 2 hours prior to PS time ;). I've only dealt with liver cancer but I hope someone can help you here :bighug:

    Hi Yong
How do you find out your cat has liver cancer? What are the signs and symptoms?

It's been a while but I think he had an ultrasound and or X-ray along with blood work. I knew him very well and he wasn't acting like himself. Also, this will sound weird but his eyes stayed green. When he was happy they would change to blue. The last few months he was with me, I saw a shimmer of blue but still mostly green. I can't remember if his or the other kitty's liver was enlarged. I know our dog's was, her liver became the size of a football within a week. :(. Unfortunately, the signs are shared amongst a few diseases  , at least my experiences.

The eye colour change is interesting. I took a peek at Maury' SS and he's doing so well within a short time on Lantus! Good job!

Ironically, Maury has a similar eye changing thing. When he's irritated or goes into what I call "Crazy cat" his eyes go back to the gold/yellow they were as a kitten (I got him at 7 months so not a baby kitten) and when he's happier they are green. :)

    Hi @Yong @JanetNJ
So I upped his insulin by 0.2u and now he's low. 47 at +5. 68 at +4. Anyway has given him gravy food and a drop of honey. Will test at 5.5. His nadir is around now till +6.

How do I adjust the dosage from now? After upping by 0.2u, scale is:
    It's >220 1.8
    170 - 220 1.4

And what about below 170. I have a feeling I'll get a blue pmps.

Appreciate your reply. Pmps about 6.5 hours' time.

Look at you handling that 47 so calmly now :D. 47 is a little lower than we want him to go and he didn't bounce much after it! I'd definitely drop it down again, the little increase seemed to get some action. So maybe try:
    170 - 220: 1.0U
    >220: 1.2U

We're not used to seeing him with the nice yellow PS numbers so we don't know how he'll react with small doses under current conditions. Previous lower blue PS numbers were more likely to bounce a little afterwards. I'm thinking if you want to try dosing between 140 - 170, only try the 0.20U and check him at +2 and +4 :). He seems to have something on his own agenda :cat:

Also, time to start a new thread, part 5 ;)

Yes! He has Sth on his agenda but he should have discussed with me first! Lol! It was a surprise to me that he went low as it was such a tiny increase. His amps today was only slightly lower than on 12/7.
I couldn't decide what to give him so I went back to yesterday's scale. 1.2u. 0.2u more than your suggested 1.0u. Will test him at +4. Hopefully he doesn't go too low. Will start on your suggested scale tomorrow.
I didn't panic today as at +4 number, I have a feeling he will go lower so I was mentally prepared. I keep some high carbo food for such times. Thankfully he's always happy to eat.
    I'll start a new thread.
