    Yesterday

I'm having a dreadful time trying to measure Rusty's low dose, even using calipers. Today I obviously didn't succeed! Insulin hides in the cone of the Monoject syringes and it is impossible to determine from shot to shot how much insulin might be in the cone. We may do a "fur shot" this evening. Since we're going to a picnic birthday party, that might not be such a bad idea!

Otherwise all is well. Rusty is enjoying outdoor time today and is eating OK (Canidae Chicken paté and old-formula Wellness Chicke). I never know these days what he will eat and have to "archive" fuds for a while until I can try them again. He's lukewarm about the Holistic Select Chicken, which I had high hopes for. The Holistic Select Turkey he barfed (and Rusty almost never throws up).

We're off to "Camp Stu" tomorrow afternoon for the week. Rusty hopes his L&LL pals will come for a visit. He'll post when we get there.

Yo, I'm mending the shark nets.

Rusty - don't make us send the deputies after you!

Yikes on the syringes! A fur shot sounds like an excellent idea. Have fun at the party. And at Camp.

Careful out there with the shark nets Lagoon Meister! Wonderful that he's so responsive to insulin, but so sorry that the syringes are troublesome! Come on in and surf safely Rusty :D

He threw you that (32) to see if you were paying attention! ;) Sorry about the syringes. Our brand has been inconsistent lately, so I kind of feel you. Hershey was kind enough to go back to .5u, so we're on a line for now. Sounds like a fur shot might be a good idea. Enjoy the birthday party and Camp!

Glad you're getting to soak up that nice weather! We had an absolutely gorgeous, mild day today - what a relief after weeks and weeks of oppressing heat and humidity! Glad Rusty ate a little better yesterday - hoping he finds one he likes today!! Hershey's appy has been off, too. (Actually, I think he just holds out for the last little bit of Friskies Special Diet T&G I have. idk what I'm going to do when it's all gone. He's even started snubbing boiled chicken.) They said his kidney disease is stage 2, but he's really slowed down since his hypo with symptoms New Year's Eve. We just make the most of each day, right?! Hugs & Scritches!!

Oh my, Rusty! How on earth did you make it all the way to the shark net on just .1 units??? You truly are the Lagoon Meister.

Ella, are you going to take the reduction and try shooting a drop from now on? A 32 really is a stand up and pay attention kind of number.

Mr. LagoonMeister, sir, we had such fun at the last party you threw. Iz it okay if we comes to visit you at Camp Stew? - Boris and Natasha

I don't know if there is much left to reduce. I'm doing everything I can to determine what is left in the Monoject cone. The main problem yesterday was that Rusty wasn't eating well. I'm aiming for a "drop". He has had lows in the low 30s many times and has never been "symptomatic" of hypo. When I give a fur shot, he shoots back up, so it is clear that he needs insulin.
I still have a few Terumo syringes. But I have lowered his dose so many times on the MJs that I no longer know how to translate it to the Terumos!
    So onward we go!
