07/21/17 diagnosed

My name is Felecia and I'm mom to many kids, both two legged and four. I have three dogs, two cats and an 8 month old human baby. My 5 year old KitKat was diagnosed in July and spent the weekend in emergency care. So far, I've had three days of hope. Friday, 8/25, he was admitted again into emergency care. He came home today thank goodness! Upon arrival, he's eaten three cans of Tiki Cat, sunbathed on the balcony (fenced in yard) and whacked the dog's nose for nudging him. All good signs. That being said, still super nervous and scared!! Found this in my search for education and support. Hate we're all in this but at least it's together.

 

This is the best place you wish you never were. Please post in the Health forum, telling us a bit more about the treatment KitKat received over the weekend and what the treatment plan is. It is a steep learning curve, but we can help and all will become second nature quite quickly.

7/21 was Prozine but Friday he was moved to Lantus. And he's never been big, 9 pounds. He's barely 7 now. Hoping new insulin regulates better.
