Previous Conversation: Bouncing Numbers Without Insulin

    Good evening everyone.
I just wanted to check in. Earlier this week I lowered Lou's dose from 0.5 to 0.25 to see if that helped (in case he was still bouncing). I haven't gotten as many mid-range numbers as I'd like, but it doesn't seem to be helping so far. I tried to do a curve today, but his BG barely fluctuated from his PS number. Since his ears were sore, I decided to quit the curve. The higher numbers today seemed like what I would have expected from him prior to his pseudo-remission (when I would dose and his BG would actually go into the low blues or high greens). His BGs barely moved on the small dose, which seems to indicate that his pancreas took today off at least, haha. I gave him 0.25 again tonight and I figured I would try to get some advice for his dose in the morning. I was thinking of increasing him to 0.4 or 0.5 again.

I need another set of eyes, considering I have a tendency to increase first and ask questions later. Should I stay or should I go (higher)??

    Thanks in advance!

    I'd go back to 0.5

Awesome, I'll do that in the morning. Thank you! I should probably know this, but how long should one hold a dose after an increase/decrease before you know if it is working (i.e., before you should make another change if necessary)?

Hold it about three days and let's see what happens.
