    Hi guys,

Merry's BG is quite low for the first time at PMPS. I need to make sure I do this right. I tested him once and it was 7.6 so I tested again immediately after & it was 8.6 so it's definitely below the safe shoot number. So, I wait 20 minutes & retest, correct? I didn't offer him food yet to see it's going to come up on it's own & he's not happy about that. He loves his food! If after 20 minutes it's still not in the safe shoot range, do I retest in another 20 mins? When do I give him his food?

Argh! In my haste to ask my question I didn't put Merry's food up high enough & he ate about half of it. He was happily cleaning his face when I went back in to check his BG. I checked his BG anyway & it's at 11 but now I don't know if it was going to come up on it's own or not. What do I do now? Skip tonight's shot or give him a lesser shot after testing him again in 20 mins?

If you post in the Lantus forum, you will get more eyes.

Not a lot of PM data to go by. unless you are prepared for a possible late niter, I would say skip shot. But do ask in Lantusforum forother opinions.

Yeah, he gets his PM shot at 8pm so it's only +3 when I go to bed but usually at +3 it's not coming down yet. This is the first time it's been below the safe shoot number. I'll post in the Lantus board.

Food influenced. And possibly beginning to bounce. I hate to see you lose the momentum, but I'm not confident in tellin you to shoot. There just isn't enuf PM data. And there aren't alot of people online.

Sorry,I'm on an ancient laptop. Keyboard is wonky.

@Red & Rover (GA) That's ok I posted in the Lantus board too & just sent my vet a text. I tested him again and it's 13.8 so not really coming up a lot.
