My vet said Baby is vomiting (small liquid amt.) each morning. Vet said it is due to being uncontrolled! What do you think? UPS is to arrive in about an hour with prozinc & I do hope this is my answer. Ready to hunt this truck down now! Love my BGK. (Baby Girl Kitty)

That type of vomiting is usually from acid that has accumulated overnight. In most cases, it can be stopped by giving a small meal during the night. I don't really think it is because your kitty's diabetes is uncontrolled but I suppose that could be a contributing factor, and I'm sure your vet probably knows best. From what you've said, I take it Baby has been at the vet's for at least an overnight stay? Was she vomiting at home, too?

Not overnight but a full day for extra testing. I feel as if I live there by now & not really happy with them. Once she is regulated I will go elsewhere. More knowledgeable about this. I will get her some Pepcid. I do feed her late & she has food in her bowl when I go to sleep?!? Not enough to tide her over... maybe whennregulated she’ll do better. Thank you for replying:)))

I agree she needs more food overnight. Many here use an automatic feeder. Make sure it's only low carb wet and no food 2 hours prior to the preshot test once you start insulin.

You can also do catfoodsicles. Freeze portions of her low carb wet food with some water added and pop 1-2 out before you go to bed. They'll thaw out in an hour or so (depending on the size) for her to eat later. Not to be a damper but she could take months to get regulated so if you're not happy with that Vet, I wouldn't invest anymore time or money. I solely used the forum to get Maury's BG under control :cat:. We are here to help :bighug:.

Another great idea! Thank you. That’s pretty much what I’ve decided; but I need to get her insulin from them. I’m sure they will refill & if something else arises I do have another vet to call. I fed her quite a bit last night & no vomiting this am. I will try freezing some if it happens again. I need to get some more freeze dried chicken... thanks again

I fed her more last night & she didn’t vomit!

Janet, on to your video, my meter requires more blood & Baby doesn’t seem to bleed enough. It’s relion Walmart- I use the warm rice sock, massage ...
Also she is not a calm girl & hides for the rest of the day on testing. I hope she gets better because I am hating this. I’m trying to remain calm. Her being blind & the fact I have her up on a table I guess, then pushing to get blood. I’ve tried ever which spot... on... her... ear! Great video. Do I get to spend more money on a new meter or am I just not putting it on right?
I will not give up! Thank you for helping me

Are you using a relion micro, confirm, or prime? The prime meters need a big sample. In the beginning it's hard to get a drop... It's easier as the capillaries grow. Give her a treat that she likes but that she only gets for test time.
