Lila is currently getting some quite low numbers and it seems as though 1.4 is def too high but 1.2 is not always enough. So at present she is having 1.2 (generous dose) which is now seeming to be (at times) too much (last night she went quite low).We wonder about giving 1.2 (generous) on am cycle and 1.2 (flat) on pm cycle. Would this be a plan? Or any other suggestions gratefully received.

You can definitely adjust as needed for each preshot. I do.

Thank you, the other query is that the vet wants us to do a curve and we wonder if it will be an acurate picture if the dose is varying? Also do you take more notice of pre shot tests or the nadir when you decide on the exact dose you are giving that day?

Both. I look at the preshot and decide what dose will get me to the nadir I want. Yesterday my cats preshot number was 256, so I did 1.25 to get her to the 80-90 range. Today her preshots was 159 so I only needed 1 unit to get her to 80-90

OK that's really useful info thank you. Presume you have to gauge by eye 1.25 on your syringes? We are using u100 syringes so have 1.2, 1.4 etc but still seem to need to have an in between dose!
