    Hi all,

I would like to ask if anyone is feeding Apllaws wet food, it looks like an excellent natural food when i did my research some says that it is not a complete balanced food as it does not contain enough vitamines and minirals.

Ok but if any one is feeding his cat a raw diet food it would be the same??

Whay cat needs all these supplements if they hunt food in the nature with out any vitamins or minerals??

I like applaws and my cats love it because we do not have her many varities of FF or Sheba and my cat does not like FF that much.

Any one who can help me with that please let us discuss it so i can make a good choice.

I also feed my cat YA dry food as snak.

The food a kitty would eat in the wild is much different than pet food that has been processed. Heating and freezing during processing can destroy or lesson the availability of many of the nutrients. A kitty eating.. for instance... a mouse would eat the muscle meats, the organ meats (heart, kidney, liver) and the bones. All of these provide valuable nutrients, such as taurine, calcium, potassium, phosphorous, etc. For any processed pet food to be called a complete diet extra vitamins and minerals need to be added to make up for what is destroyed in the processing. Even raw food requires some additives unless it is whole ground prey containing all parts of the prey. Raw foods are often frozen, which again compromises the amount of some nutrients.

I know of other UKers who will use the Applepaws as a treat for their kitty, but not as a meal replacement.

This is a UK food list @Elizabeth and Bertie put together that may be of some help:
