I am testing with the ReliOn Confirm. I've been looking through the site trying to find the right info but my anxiety might be keeping me from finding it.
The FAQ have links that are dead regarding hypo.
I did find one that says below 70 on the AlphaTrak is hypo, but I'm not using the AlphaTrak, and it didn't reference any other human meters.

Fabby has never been this low and we're going through some stuff that's not normal for us. Last night I looked at my spouse and told her if Fabby goes today I will be calling her to come home and deal with things because I can't handle it. Fabby has been looking ROUGH.

I assume at 67, just try to get her to eat slightly higher carb food then retest in 2 hours? 67 is just under the 70 threashold, but that's a different meter, so maybe I'm way off base here?
    Help!

    Thank you!

So we're not Hypo... just close. We're not at nadir yet, I tested early today, thank goodness.
She ate a bit of the Evo Chicken just now which is supposed to be about 12% carbs. That's higher than she usually gets, so we'll see in a couple of hours how her nadir looks.

On a human meter 50-120 in normal. Under 50 is time to feed someone me hc or ho ey/karo and watch for hypo checking every 20 minutes. Not all cats show signs of a hypo. Max never did even when in the 30’s.

67 is a good number on a human meter.

It just terrifies me because we had a couple of days in the black. I actually got HI on the meter instead of a number this week - that's never happened before.
I'd be excited except she's not been controlling her bowels, she's not been eating enough, and her back legs are wobbly. So right now, I'm terrified.

it will get soo much better and so much more understandable with time!
you have a lot to deal with at the time - but do many many of us, and we are here to help..
take a deep breath and think - what is it that bothers you the most at this time?
I bet someone here had already tackled it!
That Hypo scare from this morning - is it over yet? Or you are still dealing with it? If so, let's beat that beast, and then we talk other issues, ok?

If your preshot is under about 275, maybe do 0.5-0.75 instead of 1.

The Almost-Hypo is over. And the blue is gone this morning too. :(

She's been so unpredictable lately. She was back in the 300's last night by PMPS, so I gave her the full 1 u. I was hoping that would start us normalizing... but no.
At AMPS I got HI again on the meter, so I double checked, second reading minutes later came in at high 500's. I only went with 1 unit his morning, partially because I'm timid after yesterday, partially because I just want the PS numbers to stop giving me a HI reading on the meter, to ensure we aren't bouncing.

She hasn't been eating very much, she hasn't had a bowel movement in 2 days. We currently have her in diapers whenever we aren't in the room with her (and overnight). And her back legs still aren't back to normal. Should I assume all this is related to her crazy BG?

Ah, she’s just bouncing. It’s part of the dance. As she gets used to normal numbers that will stop. That 67 was scary for you but a great nadir for a cat. Soon you will be wishing to see 50’s and 60’s I promise. Looks like you will get to save some strips today.

You don't say it in the signature... Is she getting B12 for neuropathy? If she is, can you add it to the signature?

She just began this issue this week. I saw you had posted on some neuropathy threads elsewhere. All the b12 we have in the house is the C kind... none of the stores within an hour of me sell the m kind. So I ordered it last night from Amazon. It's on it's way, but she hasn't started it yet.

I haven't got them in yet, but how fast does the B12 take to work?

Neuropathy can take weeks to months to resolve itself, so the sooner you start the better.
