Can anyone look over and see if attached to signature and if looks ok (as ok as it can for unregulated). Trying to get ahead of the game for when the insulin comes (hopefully soon). Thanks so much!!!

@Myagi and Heidi Your signature looks great. You sound like your doing a great job.

I could not however get the link to work. The attached picture is the message I received when clicking the SS link.

Try not to worry about staring insulin. This was my biggest fear overall with Mogee. But it really does get easier with time and becomes routine. You have done a great job switching to low carb wet. I wish I would have trusted everyone in this forum sooner and did the same. Truly an amazing group of individuals.

Wishing you and Myagi luck and hope all his symptoms start to improve!

Definitely agreed. Took me too long to decid to ignore vet and listen to forum. Saved my cat’s life and got him OTJ for four years! Unfortunately he’s back on insulin now tho.

If I was still listening to my vet, Mogee would still be on the Glycobalance (Vet said best food for diabetic cats) and he would probably be at 8 or 9 units, twice a day.

He was on 6 units twice a day when I finally had enough. I switched to FF and he was in the green the very next day on only 3 units twice a day. Hadn't been in the green since diagnosis and had been on insulin for a month and a half. We're still playing the numbers game but they come down much easier, with way less insulin, with the low carb wet.

The amount of information and knowledge in this group is insane (in the best way imaginable).

    Hello Mygai and Heidi!

I could not get the spreadsheet to work either. There are good instructions in the technical section.
Adam is so right on with this statement! I have learned so much and continue to learn more on a daily basis. I should have joined when Monster was first diagnosed.

As for the neuropathy, there is a B12 supplement you can give to help. Here is a link to a post about the neuropathy. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/peripheral-neuropathy.164468/

I hope Mygai’s nubers continue to drop based on the diet.

    Best wishes!

Looks like you somehow combined "Myogi's spreadsheet" with the actual link

Go back to your signature and start over with that part. Type in "Myogi's spreadsheet".....then "highlight" those words (like you would if you were going to copy/paste them) and then click on the icon that looks like a single chain (or a paperclip) ....a new little box will open.

Have your spreadsheet open in another tab...Go to your actual spreadsheet. Copy the actual link from there.

Go back to your signature....and "paste" the actual link into the little box and hit "insert"

Then "Save" the whole signature again

Adam, thank you so much! Yes everyone here and the fb group are amazing and generous. Myagi gets yellows and i know it's due to the pate which is down to the sage advice given here. i feel blessed cause folks are so kind.
I saw it and thought it would be to good to be true that you ask could actually open it. I'll probably need help. My other concern is i only have my smart phone. Is it possible to update it from my phone or only when i have access to a computer?
Thank you again! Hugs to Mogee !

Ahh Chris! Not to gush but i really admire your commitment not just to your sugar babies but to everyone else and their "kids". I've learned a lot already from what you share and advise. Thanks for being here! I'll see if tomorrow i can get it fixed with the steps you gave.

I've done EVERYTHING in this forum, including Mogee's SS (setup and all), from my phone. For me it is just easier.

You can update it from a phone, but you have to download Google Chrome, Google Drive and Google Sheets to your phone first. Go to the App Store if you have an Apple device or to Google Play if you have an Android device

Thanks! Do you think I should do a curve next day off or add some spot tests to have a better feel for how he runs when he starts insulin or just wait? Also I'll be doing SLGS and presently am not able to remove all food two hours before pm test unless I'm home early or off. The grazing food is just "soup". Do you think that will be ok once we start insulin? Thanks again!

You might want to consider getting an auto feeder like the Petsafe5

You can program it to "open" to an empty dish 2 hours before shot times!!

There's no real reason to do a curve until you're on insulin.
