Holy cow! :bighug:for you, how scary.
I wonder though, could that 38 been a wonky strip? She shot up almost 50pts in 15 minutes.
When Beenie would go low she never shot up that quick but again ECID.

That is quite a drop in only a few hours, hard to explain that 38, especially after the highest AMPS you had since going up to .75u o_O

I know, it's shocking, isn't it? I am just SO GLAD I came home at her +4 this morning, which is when the Levemir usually kicks in. I think it was probably two things:

    1. My bad: I left 6% food as I thought I'd be home at her +4 and could then give her MC food if needed: and it was needed, clearly. Lesson learned: even if she starts out high, with Girlie, leave MC out just in case if I have to leave the house

    2. I came home to major pukas as a result of straining to pass poo: the pukas was fresh, still, so I'm assuming that she'd done it recently

@Beenie : She can and usually does pop up pretty quickly: the question is, will she hold it this early in the Levemir cycle?

@Bronx's dad : I was surprised by the high AMPS this am as well: she was 166@ PM+6:30 last night, but I'm wondering now if she did a dive last night and bounced up to compensate... she's not good at waking herself up at night, usually, to eat: that's my job! :p A senior lady needs her sleep, of course... :)

@Stacy & Asia You know, I should say this, but the 38 on the AT2 just brought a raised eyebrow from me and a "oh no - work is not going to like this!" I find the hardest part is giving gravy and then waiting that initial 15 minutes to see if it will bring her up and having her look at me and then her bowl with eyes saying - don't you understand? I want more food NOW!

BTW: Thank you all, so much, for jumping in for the shark dive when I've been off FDMB for a while now because of life intruding - that is so kind of you all! :) Wouldn't it be great to be able to meet for a FDMB bbq one day? I hereby invite you all to Australia...just name the day :)

Asia had a 30 on a human meter. It freaked me out more than it did her, by outward appearances, but that was her only symptom "FEED ME NOW, I WANT MORE FOOD THAN THAT!" And that was really hard denying her food with such a pitiful look on her face that didn't understand why now, of all times, I wouldn't let her have more. :(

I'm with you there! That 15 minute initial wait bites the big banana for sure! I hate it...Girlie just looks so puzzled - as if she's thinking, "I KNOW you can read my mind and understand what I'm telling you with everything I'm doing as well - why aren't you responding and giving me food???" Sigh...:(
