That "Special Care" would be pretty high carb and probably not have enough calories....it contains the same "cellulose powder" that Hills does

Cellulose powder is a fancy word for sawdust....that's how they get so much extra fiber into it which is what "fills up" the cat so they don't eat as much.

    It also contains corn

Looks like it's about 16% carbs

    Ingredients
Water, Pork, Fish, Cellulose powder, Maize / Corn, Egg powder, Vitamins and Minerals, Psyllium husk, Cassia gum , Ascorbic acid, Sodium chloride, Taurine, L-Carnitine

I did see your post and I sincerely apologize for not acknowledging. I meant to and got wrapped around doctor and vet appointments and well, for mercy sakes, I forgot.
Please forgive my unintended rudeness. I thank you for taking the time and effort in researching this for me. I will attempt to locate and have my better half translate if possible. It is a product of Thailand and available in the U.S. so I should be able to locate an English website this evening.

    I apologize again... Sheepishly

In addition to the Purina Mon Petit (https://nestle.jp/brand/monpetit/product/#[[product:can]]) that Chris told you about, I see that Sheba is also sold in Japan. Here is the website: http://sheba.jp/product/premio/ There is a phone number at the bottom that maybe your 'better half' could call and ask about where to buy it (and even carb info on the different kinds?), if that information is not readable on the site somewhere. I was able to find nutrition info for a few of them on a Hong Kong site that is in English (http://www.epet.hk/sheba/sheba-premio-cat-canned-food-sasami-75g)

Here is info on one. They do not get very detailed on ingredients but based on the GA, it looks like it does not have carbs:
SHEBA Premio Cat Canned Food - Sasami (Chicken Tenderloin).
    Ingredients:
Chicken, seasonings (amino acid etc.), thickener, stabilizer (processing starch), polysaccharide
    Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude Protein 12.0%, Crude Fat 0.3%, Crude Fiber 0.5%, Crude Ash 3.0%, Moisture 85.0%

I wish I could be of more help, sorry.

You have done more than enough and I thank you for taking the time to assist. I'll check into this in the morning. I have seen Sheba around but all I recall is the dry food and I am trying to get all of my cats off of the dry food. Still, I'll check. Been a long stressful day with this new dosage. Goma is acting like she did when I brought her home, starving and gobbling food down like there is no tomorrow. She had been okay on previous day. Thank you again.
