Last night Mogee's PMPS was 378. At +6 he was 77. A drop of 300.

He has been on 3 units for a little over a week now and usually only drops about 150 total from PS.

This morning he was 246 at AMPS. At +3 he was 247. An hour later at +4, he dropped down to 134. 100+ points in one hour.

I'm having a hard time understanding why he dropped so much last night and this morning.

Any advice or does anyone see something in my spreadsheet that I am missing?

Happy New Year to you all!

Any changes in eating compared to other days?
Maybe his pancreas is waking up for the new year. :)

Sorry, was going to add that. Absolutely no changes in eating. I rotate Fancy Feast Classic flavors but that's all. He gets two cans in the AM and two in the PM, split into four meals. Has eaten about 3/4 of his AM and PM food, which he always does.

Also, his urine output has returned to normal. That happened around the switch to all wet but I now kniw for sure that has returned to normal.

We were having those low PS last week but that subsided. I have stuck with the three units and he has been going from about 260-300 PS to about 140-170.

Just found it really strange he fell that low last night when he has only been falling about 100-150 BG from his PS. I guess it's possible the PMPS was a misread last night and maybe wasn't that high?

And then this morning he fell that 100 points from +3 to +4. And I just tested at +4.5 and he's at 114.

I like that number but it's just strange to me how he only drops a little some nights and then a bunch others when everything has stayed the same.

Worries me as I go back to work again tomorrow and am worried he may drop 300 points in the AM when I'm not there. If he's 280 PS, we know what a drop like that will do.

But at the same time, I would hate to reduce his dose to only go backwards? Ugh.

It might help you to get snag some 'in the door' BG tests at +10 / +11 when you get back from work. Mogee's getting some really good duration and it might help ease some of your worries if you can get a better picture of when he starts rising before the next preshot. All data is good data! :)
