I believe he is fine. If it is in US numbers, if it is below 50 that's when you worry.

    How long after shot?
The 66 is not in your SS
Also, your SS does not show yo gave insulin this morning. Did you give any?

That is not a hypo number on a human meter. Where are you in the cycle? I ask because it is important to know if he will most likely keep dropping or if this is the low point in the cycle.

yes USA numbers. Metric is 3.7. Just syringe fed 12 cc - have given him 12 cc every hour is that to much or to little he isn't eating or drinking but gets water in his puree and he did urinate at noon.

I responded on the ProZinc forum. There's no dose showing for this AM so the BG might not be an issue. Waiting for verification of no insulin this AM.

    No insulin since Dec 30th
it shows on his ss when I check that it shows 0

Should I be feeding him more often? gets his pate' with water to make puree - 12 cc every hour
He seems to feel cold he curls up on my fake fur spread on the bed and buries himself into a tiny ball. He likes it when I put the mattress heater on low can barely feel it but he is right back there now.

If you are not giving insulin, you do not have to worry about hypos!

On a human meter, the time to take action with a bit of food is if you get a BG of 50 or 2.8 IF you have given insulin. No insulin = no hypo with the exception of a few rare medical conditions.

I have never been on insulin although metformin once a day and in the beginning I went into a hypo and was alone and almost didn't make it to the karo syrup. Thought it was the same for cats. I have SO much to learn.

ok - I am sorry that I posted on 2 pages. When I couldn't find a number I couldn't remember what was to be done. I take metformin and had 1 hypo and I was not thinking insulin is like metformin? Anyway thank you so much.

    One section says:
    'LOW NUMBERS – WITHOUT SYMPTOMS
Retest glucose using a large blood sample to make certain you have enough blood, and if you still get a low number (40 – 60mg/dL or 2.2 – 3.3mmol/L) give food or treats until the blood glucose numbers rise to an acceptable level. If the cat refuses to eat even his/her favorite foods, you can syringe feed or administer a small amount of syrup."

But, that is only if you have administered insulin. If he runs low on his own, it's okay. Cats sometimes do that. :)
