Where can I find a u-40 insulin syringe that measures smaller than 1 unit?
My cat is currently off vetsulin. Had a hypoglycemic incident after her first two units. If I need to give her a dose I wanted to go low. The syringes my vet gave me only measure the smallest amount at 1 unit. ( she would probably need . 5). I’ve called local pharmacies without luck and my vet is no help.
    Thanks!

For future reference, if you still find it tricky fine dosing with the U40 1/2 unit syringes there is always the option to try using 0.3ml U100 syringes with half-unit markings and a conversion chart.

I got really paranoid when I first went to use the U100 syringes with the conversion chart because I was petrified of getting the dose measurement wrong. I gave a shout out on Feline Health and got help from the members to make sure I was measuring it correctly. :)

The U40s with 1/2 units are available and pretty cheap so hopefully no conversions will be needed. Why make this sugar dance any more complicated than it has to be. :)
