I am currently giving a supplement which contains taurine, potassium and other vitamins. However are there any other supplements and vitamins I could be providing? The energy level is lacking. I thought this initially to be from the physical condition but now think I may be overlooking something.

ask your vet about giving her B12/B vitamin injections, it may help with that some until her BG numbers are more regularly on the lower side. if i recall right mid to low 200's is when my cat's energy started perking up.

Yes, I agree that it's worth trying a B12 supplement. Some people use human supplements from a pharmacy. If you go that route look for the methylcobalamin version of B12. The tablets usually come in a range of doses from 250 mcg to about 1000 mcg. Avoid any that have sugar in any form in them.

How about the liquid drops I see advertised? Any experience with those as they are also the methylcobalamin version it appears and one drop in her food would not cause any problem at this point in regards to eating. Now trying to get a shopping list together for my daughter to send since many items will not ship directly to Japan through Amazon.

Appreciate the information regarding B12 and the caveat that mid to low 200's is a range to look for energy pick up. Can only hope at this point...I am looking more towards providing as many items as possible here at home vs a vet. With your guidance towards b12 I have located the liquid form on line that I am hoping I can get shipped to me via a relative since Amazon does not ship many items to Japan.

Sincerely - Thank you for the information.

If the liquid drops are sugarless/aren't flavoured they should be fine. The tablets dissolve easily in water and are tasteless (tried one myself!).
