First I thank everyone who assisted me today with Goma's really good numbers. As predicted by some, her pmps is high at 414, so I am planning on continuing with the 2.5u injection in about 20 minutes. Would like confirmation on this approach. And, given the high number, should I continue the monitoring at 2 hour intervals throughout the night?

    Thanks in advance.

If you check her around +2.5 or +3 you should be able to get an idea of how the cycle will go - if she has dropped a lot, you'll know you'll need to keep monitoring. If she's still in the mid-high 300's, you can sleep through the night. She has tended to nadir quite late, so most likely she'll stay high and you can sleep and check her in the morning when you awake. Fingers crossed she gives you a restful night!

ETA: looking at your spreadsheet, your +2 does seem like it's showing enough info that you could test then if it's easier. She was low by +2 yesterday, so you probably don't need to wait as long as I suggested.

I think giving 2.5 u is the way to go. Get a test at +2 and if it's surprisingly low you'll need to monitor more often. She might not drop as low as early as she did last cycle but it's possible she might give you good but lower than usual numbers. That's because the recent lows will have made her more insulin sensitive temporarily.

I agree with giving the full dose. I would check about +3 and decide what to do from there.
    Good night! :)

Fingers and paws crossed for a smooth, safe cycle for little Goma. It was so good to read in your other thread(s?) that Goma is regaining weight and that the vets noted that she's getting stronger. (((Goma))) :)

Just a little safety tip: Since Goma is currently being treated with antibiotics it's possible (but not guaranteed) that her BG numbers may improve significantly as the infection clears. Therefore, if you're in any doubt about safety at any stage in a cycle it's no harm to get extra BG checks in as necessary.

Thank you for the safety tip. I am hoping that she will see steady improvement. Just performed +2.5 bg test (392) and will place results in ss.
Appreciate you and everyone else for monitoring Goma's progress. Means a lot to both of us.

    Hovering steadily at +2.5.

We're all rooting for your little girl, and you're doing such a wonderful job of caring for her. She has the dotiest little face! (((Goma)))

I see those pinks for this cycle - much nicer than red or black. :)
