I work in the mental health field. I see all patients try to eat all kinds of stuff all the time. But a cat?

Totally not ProZinc related, but . . . does anyone else's cat try to eat random things? I swear my Gracie is like a baby. If it's on the floor she will eat it.

I had old Amazon boxes on the floor this morning. I leave for an hour and she tore it apart. She probably ate some of it. :-/

She is like this with tape too. The second she hears the tape shes right in my face trying to eat the tape and eat it off the package.

Why can't she eat my Anatomy textbook instead?

Atticus eats plastic and paper towels. Sam eats toilet paper and well...any paper really. Sam ate a long ribbon one time and had to get an enema to pass it. That was the end of the ribbon toy. Atticus ate dental floss once. I didn't know he'd eaten it until he pooped and the poop pieces were all strung together hanging out of his butt while he ran around the house in a panic.

So nope, Gracie isn't the only one.

Cubby likes to chew on any and everything that will annoy me. Especially if he is hungry....

My civvie, Lúnasa, had pica issues for a while. Had to ensure electrical equipment was unplugged when I wasn't around because sometimes she would chew on the cables. She used to suckle on her blankets, the edges of her cat bed, or anything fleecy (including my PJs).

Teasel's brother is an eater of plastic, likes to pick away at cloth kitchen towels and will eat bits of fluff on the floor. His sister is a chewer of the plastic ends of shoelaces. Cats are just plain weird ...

Oh yes! I forgot about the electrical cords! When I first got Atty home from the shelter he ate through my phone charger cord and my computer charger cord (in the same night). That was an expensive night! I think he was just stressed from being kicked out of his family and finding himself in a new place because he never did it again. Although it was probably close to a year before I left a dangling cord anywhere!

I envy ALL of you. Oreo and Tigress both like to eat my hair...unfortunately while it’s attached to my head!!!

Teasel is very fond of salad greens and has been known to steal them from the bowl when my back is turned.

Chloe used to chew on cardboard boxes, but she hasn't for awhile because many of her teeth fell out. Right now, Chico is licking my plate clean where I had waffles with syrup. Fuzma would chew on a particular type of plastic, but haven't seen her do that lately. No matter what I have on my plate, Chico and Cheddar have to jump on my lap to check it out. I can't leave any meat on the counter. I caught Cheddar making off with a half chicken the other day. Chico has gotten really fat.

You might want to give Chico a BG test and make sure he's doing okay. Licking syrup and getting fat are not great indicators. You don't want to end up with two kitties with diabetes!

Can't lie . . . I almost considered testing my BS levels this morning too.

I don't want a pet with diabetes and a pet parent with diabetes too.

I think we've all done that at least once - and some have done it by accident ;)
