hi newbie here. I have a 10 year old diabetic female. 8.2 pounds. Down from about 9 pounds. Lantus 1 unit once a day. Diagnosed may 2017. Went into remission in July but came out in Nov. previous insulin was pro zinc . Eats ff classics or purely ff. Looks wonderful. Last curve was good. Recent bg check was 207. Vet gave me hills glucose dry to give her as a treat . Heard it has high carbs so I don’t want to give it to her. She is a picky eater. A grazer. Someone suggested young again ??? Is this only a dry food. Any advice would help. Does anyone think remission is possible again?

Remission is harder the 2nd time, but it's possible!

Young Again Zero is low carb dry....another option is Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein (canned and dry)

But there are good reasons to stay away from all dry foods too. A vet that occasionally posts here wrote this: Dry Food - PLEASE consider more than just carbohydrate content

We are newbies as well and so very grateful for this generous and compassionate community Am reading up on all food options. Fortunately Skittles loves his wet food more than anything.

    Quick question ....

Does anyone have the nutrient breakdown of Dr Elsey's canned clean protein chicken? It's not on the extremely helpful and amazingly detailed catinfo.org food list. What phosphorous content, for example?

    Thanks!!
