Hi everyone! I am back, due to my kitty being out of remission after 3 years. How do i start? I forgot all I learned back then. He will be on Lantus again. Starting at .5 units. when do I test him? how often? His name is Whiskers and he is 10 years old.

Welcome back! But, sorry you had to come back. You want to take up food two hours ahead of shot time. At shot time, 1) test, 2) feed, 3) give shot. You will also want to get mid-cycle tests in when you can. I am not a Lantus user, so I am not sure what times are best for the mid-cycle tests.

Welcome! The people over on the Lantus forum will be able to help you - lots of expertise there. :)

Welcome aboard. Sorry to hear about the remission.

It could be worse. I took calculus in college, 100 years ago - and I'm pretty sure I forgot nearly all of it.:)

Same here. And I loved it! Trig and algebra, too. It saddens me that I've lost such facility with things mathematical.
