Is there any correlation between a flare-up of pancreatitis and constipation? The two seem to go together for Kiwi. Also, how often should he be pooping? Thank you.

Rufus used to poop once a day, now that he's mainly on wet food it's normally every other day, sometimes 3rd day. Not sure if it's constipation or just not needing to go. Vet said after 3rd day, put an 1/8 tsp of miralax in food.

I'm just pondering the same thing .

Ty used to go certainly every other day, maybe sometimes a bot more. Then he had this pancreatitis. Since home yesterday I have noticed him straining for quite small hard logs. Far better than diarrhea but still not what I feel to be a norm.

    Maybe it's the meds?

By the way , you call your pusscat Kiwi?
I'm British but live in New Zealand.

Yes, his name is Kiwi! I liked kiwi fruit and his eyes are greenish. ;)

Kiwi usually goes every day, but I find that a pancreatitis flare-up causes him not to go for a couple of days (pain and discomfort, perhaps). Then he makes loose-ish stools that have a green tinge. The vet said this is due to a back-up of bile when the pancreas swells.
