    Yesterday's

So, guess who got to sleep in a kitty sandwich all night long? That's right... This girl! Tail, my civie and 20lb Maine Coon, was plastered along the length of my back and, trust me, he is the kind that does NOT move when he is sleeping.... You can take the blankets and popcorn this cat into the air and he would just plop back down and look at you with love in his eyes... :p So, Tail was stretched from my butt to my neck and Pig had the whole front covered. I could barely breath, you know, but ehh... It was worth it! :D

Last night we saw a tremendous dip just from an L dose, falling from a pmps of 395 to a +4 of 309. I was the exhausted one and fell totally asleep, so my testing was atrocious last night... :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Hoping we keep these good downward trends and see some solid yellow days very soon... With that being said, I am struggling on the Insulin order. I have a script of Lev waiting at Mark's to be shipped, but am scared it will freeze along the way. I can't really afford it any other way, not with how he is being so greedy with it. The temps in my area will not be below freezing for a while, but what about transit? Do they just let this stuff sit in non-temp controlled environments??

Love those till you get a leg cramp and can't get out of it!

    Sleep is important!

Not sure on the shipment issues, though the east I think is getting some major snow over the next few days. I thought it was in a styrofoam box of some sort to keep it protected.

I think they send the insulin in a package with a cool pack. Marks is in Vancouver, about 25 minutes drive away from me. No worries about freezing at the destination end. Might get flooded though.

As for sleep, no worries. If Pig starts pink and is still pink by +4, no need to test the rest of the cycle. Save the strips. He may have gone down a little more, but he would still be safe and he wouldn't have gone down to a number that changes what you are going to do about dosing. It was a little tricky for me to get cheap test strips (involved a trip across the border), so I did a lot of strategic testing. You should be getting a good idea of Pig's patterns now. If he's in pink, you probably don't need to test every hour, unless you are doing an R experiment, and even then there are times you can stretch it out to every 2 hours.

    Love the bed sandwich.:)

Haha!! Yes! Tail is soooo heavy and totally imoveable once he is asleep. Its like fighting a furry toddler in the bed... Only this one pokes... Haha.

I need to order soon... But, they have me all freaked out about wasting $200 on frozen insulin. I have been watching the radars and it doesn't look like it will warm anytime soon...

Okay. I will go ahead and have them ship it then. I have about 2.5 pens of Lantus left so I am going to need it very, very soon.
Yes... and that may just be soon. I am thinking that I might need to cap the L at 30u. I need to find a medium somewhere, because the cost of insulin is starting to eat into his SRT fund. I am close, but if we keep raising the L then it will be longer. I know, it is a toss up. However, I may need to look at leveraging the R a bit more. I want to make a good plan for it, though. I do NOT want to go in blind...

These are my favorite! Pig is a little picky with his higher numbers, so they do not often stay in the bed at the same time... This makes my heart happy!

I got some insulin from Marks last week. I received their freeze warning email, but I ordered anyways. Of course I knew it wouldn't freeze at my end and I figured it might go on a direct flight. I was wondering if my credit card purchase insurance benefit (if it still exists) would cover frozen insulin.
I think it is okay. It looks okay, but I haven't used it yet.

My Levimir that I ordered and received from Mark's 2 weeks ago seems to be ok. The temps were flirting with freezing, so I understand your concern.

Yay! Well, I went ahead and shipped it, so I surely hope it is all right. The temps down here are no where near freezing, so as long as they do not just let it sit outside overnight it should be just fine... They just panicked me with their dire 'FREEZE WARNING' email! Haha...

    Yay! Kitty sandwich! :cat::):cat:

Hope your insulin arrives safe, it would be cool if they had some indicator on the pens that would let you know if they had frozen at any point.

Yes!! Like the little indicators they use to put on the batteries that you could push and see if it was charged or not... That would be fantastic! We need this...

Well, it looks as if he may have spent a good part of today in the yellow! I am hopeful. I am not certain as I was at work and could not test, but at +3 he was sitting at 308 and finished out the cycle with a pmps of 309. Looking good today! Here is to some pretty yellow days. I am sooooo over pink!

Hey! Good vibes and all the mojo's needed this way! We have some things in the works and need all the good feels!
