    Yesterday's

I have noticed, I need to be more on point with updating my title with Pig's daily test results. Lol. I will get better.. **sigh**

Man! Can I say much of a difference being in the lower pinks to yellows makes for Pig? It is absolutely astounding! It makes my heart sing and gives me a whole bundle of renewed hope! I think we all get lost in this and those higher numbers are so consuming! Either way, Pig is telling me that he is feeling fantastic! Well, at least a load better than he was when we first started the switch between Ls.

Levemir, I am starting to figure out. It is so much easier to work with in conjunction with the R and I am finding that the way these fit together is quite nice. Like two snug little puzzle pieces. This is awesome, because it is allowing me to control his increases in BG numbers. He is staying fairly flat, but in a much better number range! Loving it!

I hope all the kitties and you guys have a wonderful day! Plus, Spring is right around the corner! Yay!

He has been hanging, on average, about 330s and below. The thing that tells me we are making a lot of progress is that he is seeming to want to hold steady in the 285-330 range. Which, only a couple of weeks ago, he barely wanted to budge from the 330-360 range. Anything lower than that would send off a bounce. The fact that his body seems to be adjusting nicely to the higher end yellows and not freaking out about them is a very good sign to me. Levemir seems to be pulling his numbers down more gently than the Lantus and for Pig, that is a very good thing.

I appears to be a slower, more gradual decrease that is held out over a longer period of time. This is working nicely here with Pig. Now, with the addition of the R (still a little early to tell - just added it back in last night) it seems that I am being able to 'plug' that hole when the L is not at peak times. Honestly, I feel like this switch to Lev was the best thing for Pig, because it is allowing me to hold him steadier and not have him up and down like he was with the Lantus. Trust me, with this finicky Pig, that is a very good thing!

Yay for less bouncing, then! Are you noticing any "clinical" changes with the numbers being a bit more stable and lower?

Oh for sure. Well, I am not certain you can call them clinical, but they are symptomatic for sure. When Pig is above that 330 line he is nothing but lethargic and grumpy. He is only concerned with food and wants to isolate from everyone. He does not feel good.

However, when he is closer to yellow all of that changes. When he his high, he will just lay there and his bladder will fill and he will not get up to pee. So, he just sort of leaks out large puddles of sticky sugar pee... Everywhere. Whenevr he is below 330, he will voluntarily get up to pee. I do not have to physically take him to the box.

Also, he cleans himself on his own. A thing he will not do in higher numbers. His coat looks much better as a result. He is less temperamental and more loving. He will seek me out to cuddle. Not to mention, Pig has ALWAYS been the leader in my house. Tail and him get along very well, but Pig makes his place well known. With Pig feeling puny he could not do this and Tail was taking advantage of the situation. Even bullying Pig a bit. Last night, Tail got a bit close to one of Pigs favorite catnip toys and pig saw him. Pig got up, walked over to the toy, sat down and puffed out his chest and tilted his chin up. A clear sign of "Dis my toy... I am back... Find your own..." Teehee... Tail took the message and walked off to his toy pile... For me, that was the best of signs. This means Pig is getting back to himself.

He is less sleepy. Less grumpy. More alert and engaged. His urinary functions are on point. His digestion is working nicely and he is simply more of the diabolical, fiesty, sophisticated, and aloof kitty snob that he is... Lol. I love it! He has very refined and picky tastes. He knows what he wants, how he wants it, and how to get it... I am seeing ALL this attitude coming back...

The only thing that does not change? His hunger! But, he did not get his name for no reason!! Piggy, pig, pig...

Wonderful news! Less hurky jerky! It is quite a difference. I’m glad he’s liking the yellows and his personality is slowly coming back now that he’s feeling a little better. That’s the best feeling of all! Nice job, Pig! :cat:

Omg... How did I do that??? Man, I am a mess tied together with string... Lol.

The SS I am working on. The recent weather has my internet all weird. My town is so backwards and we literally do not have internet lines at all here. No where even close. So, I have to use cellular data or satellite, which gets funky with weather. I can do basic things, but others seem harder...

I will get it up, though...

No sting at shot time, yay! She seems to be handling it well, have to find the proper dose and see how it goes. It's nice to have a little breathing room from shot time to onset, Lantus onset was pretty much right away sometimes, so shooting a falling green number was not easy. It sure is less dramatic, I hope it continues!

    Yes! This is it exactly!

In the beginning it was hard, because the depot was weird and there were long periods where there seemed to be no insulin in play... That was rough. I started second guessing my choices...

But, then the depot built and... Omg. It is a lovely thing, is it not? The steadiness is beautiful. The ups and downs with Lantus were frustrating and too fast. This is gentle, but highly effective. I love it thus far!
