Easy does it! No need to run down to the water and fall in too deep! ;)

My crazy Luci doesn’t seem to be able to figure it out.. it’s just a wading pool and she is a deep diver...

I need to put a floatation device on that girl... just so she’ll float along the surface

After Luci's brief visit to pink - she flattened out in the yellows and wouldn't leave - no blues or greens for us today. So do you think this cycle will break eventually and on the 1.5 she'll eventually find her way to the green again? Without so much drama? Is her weight gain causing her insulin resistance? She's up to 10.2 pounds now - quite an increase from when we started this Lantus journey in January when she weighed 8.9 - she certainly acts happy and satisfied. She particularly loves all the small meals - she has always been fond of me giving her a spoonful or two of food - she likes to 'graze' on demand - if I leave too much wet food down she may or may not eat it - but if I put it down a spoonful at a time - she eats it all - I think it's the 'attention factor'...yes, she's spoiled..

After all the excitement yesterday, I needed a day off - and the dentist visit didn't help - I'll be better tomorrow - hope Luci will be too :)

That's what we would love to see because 1.75u is too much for Luci. Weight has no bearing on insulin resistance.

If you see Luci start dropping fast and hard, try feeding to slow down that drop.

Ah, ok, thanks for that information. Also, Luci gets food very frequently - she's a grazer and eats well and often. Rarely does she ever walk away from a fresh spoonful or two of FF pate. If she does I offer freeze dried salmon (there's also chicken, but lately salmon is her fav)...in the last couple of days she's been fond of tuna (packed in water from the pouch)...When she has one of her events I feed her FF w/Cheddar or one of the other variety of MC to HC foods I have on hand in the emergency kit. She seems to respond well by turning around soon after eating some of those foods. That's a real treat for her as gravy type foods are generally not on her menu.
