Yes glad Simba is eating and comfortable even with the signs that her mouth is bothering her. I wish I had a magic wand to change that dx from what it was.
    Hope Furball’s bg steadier today.
And that you have a good day, Carla

Nice to see that blue for Furball.

I left a message with my vet to see if they can compound bupe into a transdermal gel for her ear. I can't get any medicine in her mouth. I hope they will be able to do it. I have a feeling she may need it soon.

Thanks everyone for the vines and prayers for Simba. :bighug::bighug:

Poor Simba. I hope they can give it by transdermal. If not, can't it be injected also? I am glad that she is eating well for you.

I see blue for FB!

Yes, but it is $40 per shot and I have to take her to the vet after work, which is a pain and rushes me getting Furball her shot on time.

I thought there was some peeps here that had it to inject themselves at home? 40 a shot is yikes! Could the canna some here use be a possibility for you? @LizzieInTexas is one that comes to mind that uses it. I think it's cost isn't too spendy.

Apparently WV doesn't allow that. I asked if I could have prefilled syringes and was told no because it's a controlled substance. I've been considering the CBD oil, but I'm not sure she'd eat it. Thanks for the suggestions.

I think it is for Texas too. My prefilled syringes were for oral.

Carla do you have a local compounding pharmacy?

If your vet will give you the liquid (oral) call the pharmacy and see if they will compound it. My compounding pharmacy said they would do that with Cerenica (pill) if I brought them the meds. You may not need a specific rx for compounding.

My vet told me earlier that she would call the prescription in for me, but she never did say if it could be compounded into a transdermal gel. When I mentioned it, she had never heard of it. I was hoping to get a call back from the vet this evening, but didn't. I will try to call the compounding pharmacy from work tomorrow to see if they got the prescription and can do the transdermal gel.

It can be compounded into a transdermal. I know there have bern others on here that have used it. Be sure to wear a finger glove :smuggrin:
