    Think you're Sunday 420pm. Lol
Mum having rough day with incontinence. Think wrist sprained but can't get her to go urgent care. I've got it wrapped and iced. She sends hugs to you and Ty and actually everyone here. She's almost as grateful as me that Myagi has this support!

+5.75 115 tied up with mom so gave 2 tsp 14c, he ate one

Pmps 166, 0.1u, his and her food not touched, spoon fed him 2 tsp 12c, couldn't get him to touch lc dinner with meds even with crunchy topper. Made the soup with the 12c cause I didn't think he'd eat it and I'd opened it. Prob shooting self in foot here :banghead:

What's going on with him though??? How can he have such high eve numbers when he's not eating??? Unless he's bouncing from tanking the few minutes of the day I don't test or aren't around?!? :banghead: and he's not 100% refusing food and all else seems great including mood. What am I missing????

My best guess looking at his SS is that Karo might be more than he needs. It seems to bring him up very well, which is awesome if you need him up from a lime green, but might be overkill if not? The days you have better duration (without lime greens), for the most part you were steering with other foods. How do you measure the drops? I started using oral syringes for better consistency since it glops out rather fast and one drop could be twice the size of another. It is a useful tool if he isn’t eating well to use Karo, but also, postprandial response...higher numbers could be a delayed reaction to Karo earlier. At the time they might only bring him up a bit, but later it could have a bigger impact. I’ve read studies about cats postprandial response being 12+ hours even. The sugar should wear off quickly, yes, if by itself, but you aren’t giving sugar alone, so this is metabolizing along with fat and protein and thus slows the carb absorption. Wackiest food for diabetics is pizza because of fat, protein and quick carbs all in the mix, they may drop at first and get a huge spike hours later, or spike right away and spike later. It even has a name, it’s called the pizza effect.

Maybe you could try just the Karo, and space out giving the food until a little later, like 30 mins to an hour after? Or try a day without Karo and use other foods and see if that changes anything.

Thanks @Stacy & Asia , I'll try anything to improve this situation. Everyone only talks about the karo wearing off quick and I didn't know about the additional delayed response. I do like it cause he likes it and it keeps him out of lime, especially when he's not eating. I measure on my finger before putting on his paw. So the drops are consistent, they're just my made up drop. Lol. And I hear ya, but when I steered with food, Myagi was eating.

I know it’s not something you can experiment with now, but just for future reference. Maybe try to halve the amount if it’s past +2? Karo is a blessing when they aren’t eating much, that’s for sure! Been there! Please eat your foods, Myagi. :bighug::cat::bighug:

+5 67, put out 13c which at first he wouldn't touch, then I touched some gravy to his face and a couple minutes later He began to eat. Ate a decent amount of meat and gravy (not like before when he'd have cleaned his plate and gotten seconds, but the most he's eaten in one sitting in days).:cat:
