And I went BTB and actually went back to sleep and hubby got up at +2 to test for me! So I feel much, much better.

He is eating great too. First dose of Epogen will be this evening. @Beth 73 I gave him his first dose(?) of Nux Vomica at +2 this morning too. I have a follow up with Dr. Pat on Monday. Oh, and the daily capsules (with BP and Cerenia every other day) are a breeze. He is swallowing them now without even needing to be forced with water. We got the grove going!

1st dose of Epogen in. It seems a bit leaked (very little) out but it was our first go around - we will get better.

Are Gizmo's gums pale? Or will you have to do bloodwork to judge his hematocrit improvement on epogen?
I'm so glad you are having some smoother sailing.

It is based on his bloodwork. We have a full panel/follow-up scheduled on 03/08 and based on that we will evaluate the plans for going forward. It is based on both his hematocrit and PCV. Labs are all on the labs tab if you want to look.

Yes, you will. And there's no hurry. 19% is not critical.

It wasn't much that leaked out. Hubby gave the shot but I was right there. We weren't sure if it would hurt him (sting/burn) so we double teamed. I also used the syringes they gave with the epogen and they needles are 1/2" and a larger gauge and that may have something to do with it. I can (and may in the future) use his regular insulin syringes.
