Yesterday: strange cycle
Good morning!
AMPS 133 shooting 1.5u

Well Boomer woke me again at 2:03; I tried to ignore him but it didn't work. I checked his auto feeder; he had only a tiny bit of +6 left so I just went btb. He eventually ate the rest of it. He also finished his +9 last night which is unusual.

Allen ate well overnight but barfed before his breakfast and during his breakfast.

Yesterday's cycle was odd. Not that Boomer hasn't had a blue cycle before but that even after a blue cycle the PM +3 was higher than the PMPS. He did something similar on Feb 15th but that was after some mid-greens the night before. And for the last 3 nights his PMPS has been lower than his +6. Or the same as +6. idk. I guess I should grab a few tests at +6 since he's getting me up anyways; to be honest I'm half asleep and don't think of it but perhaps I'll set my alarm for just before +6.

It's raining out yet again! One would think it was April instead of February.

I'm still exercising every day however 4 evenings ago my knee started hurting. I'm not 100% sure I injured it while exercising however the exercise is making it feel worse. So I'm off the treadmill and elliptical for the next couple of days but I will continue to do upper body exercises.

 

Sorry Boomer woke you up again. It might be a good idea to grab that +6 test when you're up. Poor Allen. I hope he's feeling better now. Be careful about your knee. You don't want to make it worse. I hope it gets better soon. Sending prayers.

Sorry about your knee, I hope you can at least get out walking on it.

You've been on this dose a looooong time. Have you thought about increasing? According to TR, you increase every 6-10 cycles when seeing greens. Lately they've been fairly high greens. Just wondering if that would help kickstart him a bit.

Yeah It feels like a long time but it's only been 3 weeks.
Yes I've thought about increasing him. But I'm not sure that's the right thing to do. His AMPS and PMPS have actually come down a bit since the reducie from 1.75 to 1.5 (I took an average for both at 1.75 and both at 1.5, more of a change in the PMPS than the AMPS). Other than that, the cycles haven't changed much. I know that cats can have wonky cycles on too much insulin too. idk.

 

Hi Judy, I hope that you (and I!) can get this dosing thing figured out. It used to be easier!
I think Boomer's numbers today look good.

huh another strange cycle, same BG at +3 and +6 then a drop and same BG at +9 and PMPS. And a lovely green PMPS at 70. Shooting 1.5u

 

They do look good today (well except for the AMPS). The PMPS is especially nice!

Judy, I'm sorry to hear about your knee. I hope it is feeling better soon. Good job on keeping up with the upper body work.

All is well. Today was my first test in a week and she was at 86. It's very odd to test so little, but Freckles still came over to her testing spot when she saw all the supplies and I called to her. She's a really good kitty.
