Bella had a blood glucose of 75 a few minutes ago
Giving her some 15% carb food should I give her 1.5 units of insulin?????

Looks like she has dropped from +6 and a big drop at that! Clearing a bounce...
Do you have all the supplies needed if she drops lower?

Did she eat...because you could stall and test again in 20 mins from PM test and see if she is going up or down.

I’m going to give her 1.5 units. Sound right?

Next time stall without feeding and then you will see if she is coming up on her own without food. Then you know that it is pretty safe to shoot.

15% carb can cause quite a pick up and all it takes is about 20 mins.

That said...are you sure that isn't bad strip?

Could be... I’m giving it. Is that ok? Safe?

I would confirm if it was a bad strip. If it was me and I got a number around that 320 again I would shoot. Making sure to get a +2 in.

Maybe the 75 was a bad stripe.

    God I hope I don’t kill her
Will check her blood glucose in a half hour or so?

A +1 would be good as we are not sure which strip was bad - the 75 or the 320 (or how food influenced it is).

    How is she doing otherwise?

Any time you have a number that really doesn't make sense like that, always a good idea to test again right away and make sure you have a big enough drop of blood. The 75 really wouldn't make sense (although not impossible) and the 320 seems more accurate. I'm sorry she scared you like that. :bighug:

Next time this happens I will recheck with another strip and hopefully have a better idea of what to do.
So,( next time I get a low number) I shouldn’t feed her and see if her BG comes up in its own?
Sometimes it’s very hard to know what to do
    And I’m
Trying to type on my phone and it looks like Japanese
    Thanks for the support

    LOL

If you get a really strange number - I would retest. It has happened a couple of times for me where the number came back as a 400 when he was in the 200 range.

If you get a low number, stall, don't feed, test again in 20. Put a question mark on your thread and indicate you need dosing advice ASAP. If she is going up, then it makes it easier to decide to shoot. If she is going down...then would make me pause a bit.
