I've really messed up Yum's digestion.
I gave her a lot of high carb, high phosphorus foods to keep her from going hypo this past week as her numbers dropped.
She started resisting her low carb low phosphorus Radcat chicken with CKD and digestion supplements.
Sunday night I gave her low carb low phosphorus Radcat lamb, hoping to get her back on track to healthy eating.
I knew there was a risk it would give her diarrhea, as it did last fall.
She devoured it and then she got liquid poo on Monday. She has also vomited.
I gave her cerenia Monday and Tuesday.
She has eaten little. She vomited again today. She is losing weight.
Cabergoline can cause digestive upsets as well.
    I am worried.
I cut her evening insulin shot in half. I have been giving her small shots without a plan, because of her poor appetite.
Inappetence is scarier than high blood sugar. I feel panic stricken.
I hope the vet can see her tomorrow.

Do you have ondansetron on hand? That can sometimes help nausea if Cerenia does not. Have you tried low carb/low phos canned food? Might still seem like a treat to her. At one point, I had to give up on Neko with raw. :(

Good luck with the vet. :bighug:

Radcat is the ONLY low phosphorus low carb food she has ever eaten. She has rejected all the canned products. And of the radcat, it seems she can only have the chicken. Red meat gives her diarrhea. She snubs the turkey. I haven't tried the pork, but it is slightly higher phosphorus. So my heart jumps to my throat when she won't eat it.
After a lot of thought, I've decided today's mistake was giving her cabergoline on an empty stomach. She just licked it up with the gravy from a teaspoon of FF gravy food, avoiding the meat chunks. Before I did that, she was doing better than yesterday. Right now I see she has licked up a teaspoon or 2 of Radcat and Fancy Feast classic while I was napping. Maybe tomorrow will be better. I have been thinking about asking my vet about ondansetron. I will check it for interactions with CBG.
