As you all know summer didn't get a shot last night so her depot would drain. After 39 @ Pmps, she bumped up to a yellow before bed so i felt good enough to give myself and her a break so i didn't test her until this morning. She was 310! But she didn't stay there long. She is back in the blues again and eating and acting as normal. I got some well needed rest last night as did summer so now we will go from there! Thank you all!!

 

I must admit I am happy to see that gap in testing last night. You must have really needed the sleep. Now I just hope that she can hang onto that 9 unit dose for a while without doing anything crazy.

Ok, summer is starting to drop again! It really surprises me that she is showing green so soon. What do i do if she is low at shot? I have shot 54 before but that was on 1/25 and she came back up after a few greens. I gave her 9 units this morning.

 

Hmm, I was worried that might happen. She seems to be slowing down. Paws crossed she heads up soon. Can you get a +11 and post for advice? Hard to say what to do at this point in the cycle.

When is your +11, and what time zone? I will try to peak in, even if out.

 

I am eastern time zone. + 11 is in 25 mins, and i just tested her and she is 59@ +10.5!! Lordy, summer means business!

 

Okey, dokey, looks like Summer wants even less juice. I'd like to get to a point where you can shoot the same dose several times in a row without worrying she is going low. I think we can decide now instead of waiting later in the cycle. My thoughts: option A: skip tonight and try 8 units tomorrow morning. Option B: a smaller, say half dose and do 8 units tomorrow morning. Option B only works if she gives you a shootable number tonight. That depot might yet need more draining than the one skipped shot did. Option C, and only if she skyrockets between now and PS , is to shoot a new reduced dose of 8 units. But I'd put on the coffee if you do that.

 

she was just 47 at +11! Summer is testing me!!

 

Summer was 41 @ PMPS so she gets NO shot again tonight. I will reduce her from 9 units to 8 units AMPS. Summer is telling me she wants more sleep and less pokes!! And less insulin of course which is fine and dandy with me! Well looks like i may get a little more ZZZZ's again tonight! Thank you Wendy again for helping me with Summer!!!!

 

Wondering if 7 units might be a better starting place tomorrow. It's well beyond a normal reduction, but what Summer is doing isn't normal. Much easier to go up if you need to.
