Officially took him down to 0.75U.

Appy not great. Didn't give MMR with AMPS so I could give Mirtz and Ondansteron before I leave.

Going to call vet today about the BP meds. I have to go back in the condos and find it but someone stated that the Amlodipine decreased appy with their cat. Not sure if that is what is going on but got to try something.

Work is very stressful right now, plus I have strained my back some how and dealing with stomach issues (stress?). IDK but both hubby and I are not feeling great. Gizmo not eating is just adding to the stress.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Hi!
I had a cat who had high blood pressure, she was my renal kitty that lived to be 23. Anyways, she was also on the Amlodipine and I remember she was on anti nausea meds and we added Zyrtec regular since that was known to help increase appetite. You might want to look into the regular zyrtec. I was giving her multiple pills so I went thru thriving pets.com and got the gel capsules and just pre loaded everything all in 1 gel cap, coated that in some butter and let that sit in the freezer for about 10 min to firm up and then down the hatch it went.

I have but Mirtz works (usually).
That is what I am doing too (not the freezer). Thanks for the tip on getting the gel caps from Thriving Pets! I ordered a small batch a while back from Amazon to have on hand (JIC) but will need to get some more at some point. I also re-use the gel caps that the Canna comes in - they are just a tiny bit bigger than the ones I ordered. Like this morning the 1/2 Ondan won't fit in the #5's unless I cut it in quarters, but will fit in the empty Canna capsules (#4?). I got a pill pusher that works great (thanks @Alicia & Maggie (GA)) and we now have it so I can put it all the way to the back of the throat and he just swallows it. It doesn't even stress him out any more! He is such a good kitty.:cat: He makes me laugh at least once a day.

A few days ago, when TiTi was so sick with pancreatitis, Mirt had no effect. I guess it can only go so far.
Nausea and diarrhea were the first symptoms I had --it wasn't the killer flu, but it was flu. :(Several strains are making the rounds in Texas.

Chris at thriving pets is awesome. If you tell him what meds you’re using he is pretty good at advising on the best size gel cap. I remember at one point I had about four of the sizes around to accommodate different meds.

Hi Lizzie! I am sorry you and DH are not feeling good. There is a stomach bug going round. And it's the pits to have work so stressful which doesn't help you physically.

Keep eating your fuds Gizmo! His numbers are sure looking good.

One more day in this great state of Texas. We were overly ambitious with what we thought we'd do and what we actually did. Will be glad to get home to my babies.
