    Last condo

After the green on Tuesday and then the nice pm cycle on Wednesday, thought we were getting there so held the dose another day. Yesterday pretty much stayed in the mid yellows so we increased this morning.

My question is this. Starting this coming Tuesday, we are going to be transitioning to homemade food using Dr. Lisa's recipe, how slow or quickly can I transition? With dogs I usually try to give it about a week, and when we first went to wet I did it without a transition because I knew I had to get the dry away from Zeke asap, but I want to do it the right way this time so less chance of any tummy/bowel issues etc.

Can't wait to be making their food! They will finally be getting the absolute best I can give at that point. Grinder is getting delivered tomorrow and our freezer is coming Sunday. *happy dance*. And to make this even better, our local grocery store has bone in thighs on sale for only .89 a pound!

With cats you need to slowly transition as well. Some can do it in a week while others take longer. My kittens transitioned quickly. I think Tricia’s took much longer.

Ok, I will look at doing it over a weeks time and see how well they are doing and just go from there. Thanks

Good luck with the increase and the DIY food, I hope transition goes well and Zeke loves it. What do you think of Lev so far?

    Thank you.

So far we are liking it. I do love the fact that it already feels much smoother then Lantus was, haven't had any nose dives or fast jumps to the moon so far. :) We have also noticed that he doesn't complain as often when giving him his shots. Before we thought he was just complaining that we were interrupting eating since it wasn't every time, but guess the Lantus was actually stinging him a little.

Same things here, well except for bounces to the moon, Asia likes those sometimes, but I'll take it in light of no crazy dives! I feel bad I didn't connect the stinging dots sooner, but like you, it wasn't every time, so it was hard to tell.

When you got a kitty that doesn't always behave the same way, hard to know what is going on with them. There is times that Zeke acts like he is in greens or low blues, zooming around feeling awesome, will test and he is sitting at mid to high yellows lol. Just last night my DH described Zeke doing a cartoon move (fast moving backfeet but staying still) but he was staying in mid yellows. But then, even when Zeke is in 30's, he doesn't act like he is that low. I never can go by his behaviors for his numbers, so really not a surprise that it wasn't that obvious on the Lantus stinging him because of how he acts.

Great numbers this cycle. Hopefully he holds with these numbers!

Holding nicely! We will probably test again at +2 and then of course +4. Depending on his +4 is how often we test after that. Hopefully he will hold and not bounce. If he bounces will only do one other test after the +4 in the middle somewhere. If he holds, then will probably test at +7 then +9.
