How often do you guys weight your feline?

I wasn't for awhile, but then started again, as she looked a little more fluffy. I've almost became addicted to weighing her lately. Then if she gains I get sad and worry.

Part of me is totally okay that she gained a full pound . . . the other part of me knows my vet will say something.

I definitely don't weight myself daily. Heck, even at the doctors office I decline. Usually.

I was weighing Teasel weekly for a while, then monthly but I've been pretty lax the last number of months. He looks to be a good weight to my eye. ;)

Our cat just gets weighed when she goes to the vet. Weight gain and loss is complex with diabetic cats, on the one hand weight loss is good because it means they are at a healthier weight for managing their diabetes, however it may also be a sign that their diabetes has been badly controlled causing them to lose weight which isn't good. It's a difficult one to gauge!

It is. I'm OK with Gracie's weight; however, when I tell my vet that she is OTJ and has been for awhile I want to add that I am not feeding her the stupid/high carb food she recommended.
She thought 11.9 was a good weight. Now, Gracie is at 13.0

Note: She has seen me in Target buying FF and Friskies. Who knows if she will remember.

I wondered the same thing re: weighing. I was contemplating getting a baby/pet scale on Amazon because I'm lousy at eye-balling weight (well, except my own, ha! ;) ) and with Zander's history of DKA, I want to be proactive, not reactive. Does anyone have a good scale they recommend that is under US $60 or so?

I weigh mine once a month. Weigh in, B12 shot for Jones and nail clippings.

It helps me know if my overweight ladies are losing and at a good rate as well as monitor Jones and his CKD civvie for weight loss.

I make myself wait the month. I got a baby scale from Amazon and it is very close to the vet and IM vet scales.

    I have this one:

Maybe still too expensive in US dollars?

How did you do that? The "THIS ONE"

PS: Is there a real difference between our human scale and these baby ones?

PSS: Y'all are encouraging my Amazon addiction.

You type whatever it is that you want it to say...Like "THIS ONE"

Then you go back and "highlight" those words (like you were going to copy/paste them)....Once highlighted, you hit the icon along the top that looks like a paperclip (or a single link in a chain)...a new little box will open. You get the REAL link and copy/paste it into the new little box and hit "insert"

The baby ones are just more accurate at weighs like grams/ounces since it's more important

    Uh yeah......sorry 'bout that.....LOL

That is the same one I was looking at and it's right in the price range I want, too. Thanks!
