3/6 Asia AMPS 107, +6 65, +8 73

AMPS 107! A nice start! Asia was a bed wetter last night. This has happened a small number of times (even pre diabetes) I think it's a combo of old age/bladder control loss and deep sleep that she just doesn't get up to use the LB. Cleaned her up. Glad I have the incontinance pad on the bed! I shouldn't make fun, but I did call her pee pee pants. I think her lower preshot is due to her sleeping so soundly as she didn't eat her +9 food which almost never happens. Her internal clock was a bit off, she went for it around 10 minutes early and never went back. I was surprised I didn't wake up to clear foamy vomit!

She surfed last night and yesterday's cycle. Unbelievable! No Karo needed, just strategically timed food and she was good. It looks like her pm nadir is +8 now. Am one is a bit all over the place. Regardless, Lev certainly agrees with her and that means I love it too, annoyingly timed schedule and all.

Taking DD back to the ortho today, soft cast is coming off, hopefully crutches are on their way out as well. She has fallen several times with crutches (ballerinas are absurdly clumsy outside of a dance studio, it's a thing) and I'm worried she will actually get injured from using them! We are taking bets on how gnarly it's going to look when the bandages come off.

Thinking of Yum and hope she goes home today is on the mend!

 

Poor Asia. Sorry she peed the bed. She is looking good on Lev. I hope your daughter's appointment goes well. Sending prayers.

 

Well we can make fun of our own fur babies as long as no one else does!

That is the truth! We call her bowling ball sometimes because she's rounder than she used to be but when the vet implied there was more of her to love, daughter was incensed and gave vet the stink eye!

I hope it's not either, and I'm sure it will look worse than it is, we are suspecting a large yucky green yellow fading bruise, they always look pretty severe.

She looks great. Don't we all have the cute nick name for each pet and the one for when they are being a putz?

 

DD doctor appointment went very well. Not gnarly at all, a wee bit of bruising and a tiny incision that is healing quite nicely. She is clear to walk and kick the crutches to the curb as soon as she is able to. It's been stuck in a plantar flex position for a week, so it was weird and sore for her to move it or put weight on it, but I think she should be walking tomorrow, hopefully.

@Sandy and Black Kitty was in the city for a day so went and met up with her for coffee after DD's appointment. It was awesome to meet her and her SO, they are sincerely lovely people and only regret is that time flew by so quickly, they had to catch a bus home.

Younger DD stayed with the furry potato, I told her to call me if she gets below 60, she got a little concerned that she was in the 60s, so she tested her every half hour for a time, much to her surprise, nothing crazy happened, she said "this new insulin is really cool". I must say I agree!

Asia is being cute and happy sprawled out on the couch. Day 5 of canna companion. I had to cut down the bupe dose because her normal amount made her saucer eyed, so I guess it really does help with pain/augment the bupe, which is great! Hope this is a sign of more good things to come with it!

 

Great reports here. I've been watching the canna companion reports...very interesting!!
