So, we're about two months out in this journey and some days I think I understand and some days, well, I'm just tired and unsure. I've never really shot below 140, because I think I'm afraid of the greens and even more afraid of the light greens! Mishka seems to be finally getting over the upper respiratory infection, and feeling good tonight. Actually he's probably feeling better than I am...LOL. Talked to the vet the other day and he was surprised that I'm only dosing at 0.5U. He originally recommended 2U which sent Mishka's numbers as high as 600 which now I think was bouncing. He's been steady in the blues (crossing my fingers). I think I need to collect more data of course. Vet now thinks I should be dosing at 1U, but I'm wondering if maybe 0.75U is the right dosage.

Yes, I think you have the most monochromatic spreadsheet I've ever seen! Mishka really loves her blues!

And bless your vet's heart, but no, do not give one unit. You could give 0.75u a try, but I would wait until there is a cycle when you can catch some new mid-cycle numbers and make sure she isn't green at some point, and then if not you could try the increase on a cycle or two that you could monitor with some extra tests.

Oh, and you can shoot below 140 after you get some more mid-cycle data and as long as you can monitor. If Mishka isn't bouncing, then lowering the NS number is helpful to getting her into some green numbers. They are only scary at first, and then after a few you'll start to get greedy for them. :D:D:D

Yep I think I'd try an increase ONLY on a day you can monitor. It might kick him into greens, and as long as they are dark greens, that's good! I know those greens are scary, but they really are what you want!

Thanks Djamila -- yes, I'll try to get some mid-cycle numbers this weekend. Maybe Mishka is hitting the greens more than I know!!! That would be fantastic!

Well, tonight the PMPS is 111 -- so again NS. I guess today Mishka probably hit some greens! I worry about two evenings in a row with no insulin. Going to definitely be a curve weekend :)
