    Yesterday

Is this yellow still a result of the FF in gravy 12 hrs ago? Or is the 2u not enough?

It looks like he bounced last night from however low he went yesterday and is coming down this morning. I'd see what his PMPS is and then make a decision. If he is not low blue or green, you may want to increase to 2.25 units and see what that does.

No. I really don't think so. Did you read my notes? I ran out of regular food and had to give him high carb food last night. This is due to the high carb food not a bounce. And I will not be going gradually up the dosing scale as before as I dropped too fast too soon. If I need to increase him I'll go up at least to 2.5 if not to 3u. Rules long since broken when I brought him down too fast.

I thought that was on Monday. Did you also have to feed him high carb yesterday?

Sorry if I'm not getting things. I'm fighting a sinus headache this morning.

Yes. I ran out of food before my grocery order arrived and he got FF in gravy at PMPS.

It sounds like you can feed low carb tonight. If he is blue or lower, I'd hold the dose and see if his numbers come back down on their own once he's off the high carb.

HC can take any where from 12 to 36 hours to leave the system from my experiences with Jones.

You fed wet so hope that clears quicker. Dry seems to take a while.

Maybe wait until the lc food is in and see if that brings him back down.

My Experience with wet High carb is that it clears after a couple of hours.

I agree with @carfurby in that it looks like a possible bounce from yesterdays morning cycle.

That said it is also possible that because you had to feed HC wet instead of his regular food, it may have caused the insulin cycle to fizzle out because the extra carbs temporarily increased the insulin requirement, and that has led to the higher amps this morning.

If you are back on the LC now, you should not see any long term effect in this cycle from High carb wet if it was dry, it would take longer to get out of the system and would likely influence his numbers for a number of cycles, that's why we prefer to use wet HC because we know it clears the system pretty quick.

Do you know when you are getting the delivery of LC?

It's NOT a bounce. @carfurby only said so before she knew re the HC. HC lasts much longer in system with Silver. Yesterday's cycle was clearly HIGH as I have said many times before preshot is lowest. There was no blue or green yesterday. No bouncing.

Thanks @Tracey&Jones and @Love-Paula aka Woodsywife - I figured I messed him up with the HC. Let's hope the 2u gets him into blues tonight.

I would stick with 2u for the next few cycles until I knew that HC cleared or at least until Silver told me he wanted less insulin.;)

Assuming you fed LC wet this morning, see where he lands at PMPS and take it from there.

BTW- it looks like your note about having to feed HC needs to move down one line to correspond with 5/15

Usually but not always as his ss clearly proves.

You have no way of knowing as you cannot test midcycle.

He was blue at pmps yesterday, it might have been his nadir or he might have gone lower during the day and pmps was him on his way up. Neither you nor I know for sure which it was, because there are no tests midcycle to prove or disprove your theory. To discount the posibility because you don't like is at best dangerous and at worst could prove tragic. (I did see that you fed HC and I took that into consideration)

Just because you don't like me or what I have to say doesn't make me wrong and you right.

I'm just suggesting it as a possibility for you to consider, there is no need to be rude and jump down my throat, believe it or not I am not a masochist, I just care about silver and you.

You'll probably block me or send me a rude pm now. That's what I have come to expect.
Know that my posts come from a good place.

Stop pushing it, Juliet. There's no need to continually be abrasive.
There are consequences and this being the second time around... there will be no coming back.
