Miss China is doing great!! Mama is going to have to send her to NYC for hotdogs more often!!

It's another one of "those" weeks for me so by the time I get done running around, there's not much time left for me.

Did get some interesting news today though. I had been having a lot of trouble with my right eye and went to see the eye doc 6 months ago where he said I had the beginnings of a cataract …..but my insurance won't pay for cataract surgery until your vision is to a certain level....he thought we were looking at 4-6 years.

Well, it only took 6 months and now I need cataract surgery in both eyes!! The vision went from 20/40 in my right eye to 20/120 and there's now one in my left eye as well.

Next Wednesday I now have an appointment with an eye surgeon to see about getting it done, but there's one big problem I will have to figure out before I can have any surgery and that's finding someone who can drive me to the hospital the days of the surgeries. No taxi's, no Uber's, no public transportation around here and the few people I could have asked have moved and I don't know anybody else.

Oh well....guess I'll figure it out when I need to!!

Miss China.....be a good kitty tonight for mama....she's pretty tired and beat up (and has PT tomorrow!)

Hope you've all had a good Wednesday and your kitties are feeling great!

Sorry to hear you have to have cataract surgery, but I understand it's a much better process that than it used to be. I sure hope you can find someone to help with transportation. Do you have a community center or volunteers that assist disabled or elders in your area? Might even try a local church, even if you don't belong, there might be helpers.

I'm glad China is doing well Sorry you need to have cataract surgery so soon. I hope you can work things out to get someone to drive you. Sending prayers.

Great idea....there's a senior center not far from my home...I'll give them a call and ask if they have any good suggestions

Bummer about the cataract surgery, but the good news is that it is faster and easier these days. I hope you can find someone to transport you.

China, you are a star, rocking those great numbers and not making Mama stress about you! Keep up the good work!

I have the same problem with transportation, because they won't allow Uber or whatever to pick me up post surgery, even for the simplest procedure. I live way out in the country, and my friend who usually helps me out, well, I hate to impose on him again. I'm a senior, and I have been told there's a volunteer group that does such things. Have you checked around for that sort of help?
