I purchased the recommended product that everyone talks about to help with the neuropathy. He is 24 lbs at last check in mid May when he was dx-ed....I started with just one pill, 3mg with his evening wet food. It's only been a few weeks but I am not really seeing any improvement.

For his size how much is a good dose? I was thinking of adding in another morning dose. The vet does not know the product so will not make any recommendations.

    Thanks

With Zobaline or any other B12 methyl it will be a slow process. Despite his weight he doesn't need more of a dose as he will expel the excess through his urine.

What is needed is for the nerve damage to heal which is what Zobaline helps with and that will be a slow process.

For my old Ty it took a good few months to kick in but it did in the end.

Feline Diabetic Neuropathy (weak back legs):

See: Jasper The Big Orange Goodness: A Story of Recovery, Hope, and Resources for Diabetic Pet Care for more info about using methylcobalamin (methyl B-12) for diabetic neuropathy.

Dosage info can be found here: Dosage.
Most will give their cats 3 - 5 mg per day to treat neuropathy. If your cat weighs 10 lbs. or more, they suggest starting with a 3 mg dose. Smaller cats can start with half of that, or 1.5 mg. Some cats are on as much as 10 mg per day with no side effects.

    Hope this helps!
