I think Rose is feeling good. She played with her milk jug ring yesterday. Numbers are going up slightly, but with the heat, it is hard to know. Everyone is moving a little slower.

Hi Michelle - Thanks for looking in on us! Sorry, we don't use the Breeze litter system. Maybe we should start, because Rose will only use the LB if she is physically put in it every 2 hours or so... As a result, I have established a dependency on a the warehouse size box of pee pads from Costco... :banghead:

I looked around really quick and wonder if you might be thinking of @DebG or @tobakett who have recently mentioned the Breeze litter system. Maybe they can help with some suggestions.

Heya, so I use the Breeze box, but just the box part. I actually take out the bottom pan and nest it in with a similar sized box on the bottom that I line with a puppy pad, and the use pine pellets for the litter. In the pet store it's called Feline Pine but you can also buy it at tractor supply for half the cost (8 bucks for a 40lb bag) When they pee on it, the pellets turn to sawdust. Solids can be scooped up with a wide slot scoop (the Breeze comes with one) and flushed down the toilet. Every morning and before any guests come over I just quickly stir up the litter with the scoops to help knock any sawdust down onto the puppy pad below. Then every few days (Gizmo is-still- not regulated and pees like a waterfall) I just pick up the top portion and set it aside (usually on the toilet so any stray sawdust just falls in there) and then fold the puppy board onto itself and toss it with all the peesawdust and place a new pad and put the top back on. It's been 2 months now and I am still finishing off the 40lb bag I bought. Whenever it's running low on litter, I just throw a scoop or two more in.

That's where I got the info. Make sure to read the comments and the follow up video since her video uses the "old" Breeze boxes, the new ones are a slightly different size but in the comments and the follow up video she has the new sizes.

The start up cost felt high, but seeing as I went from spending like 50 bucks a month on litter and constant headaches with either scraping clay cement or going through crystal litter like crazy to spending like 10 between litter and puppy pads. And MUCH easier clean up.

It does track a bit but I keep mine next to the toilet and keep a very fluffy bath mat in front of it and the toilet and just sweep every few days.

    Hope that helps!

Sorry it took me so long to see this, I have been swamped this summer. I'm not sure I can offer advice on the Breeze system as Fritz took to it the first time I put it out. Hope by now it's working for you:)
