    Morning everyone,
I am getting really frustrated with Lou's BGs the last couple of days. He's bouncing like it's going out of style, but he's not having very active cycles. On 7/8, he apparently bounced after going to 132. Last night was all primed for a nice active cycle, and he got to 161 before going back up. In his possible defense, there was a partially eaten chicken drumstick on the floor when I tested his +8 this morning. While I know chicken itself is safe, it was a curry-spiced drumstick, so I don't know if the spice would have such a huge and immediate effect on his BGs (Almost 400 this morning!). I guess if so it could be an idea for when he goes too low.:p:rolleyes:

I'm not sure what to do at this point. With IAA on the table, I don't know how long I could see him not getting within normal range before increasing his dose. I don't want to go too fast, but I don't want to give the IAA any chance to gain hold by being too cautious. Can someone take a look at my spreadsheet and see if I just need to give him time to even out or if it's time to increase?

    Thanks in advance! :bighug:

You'd be amazed how many times there is sugar in a spice mix. Do you have the ingredient list?

He could still be bouncing from that last set of greens the night of the 7th. Numbers during a bounce can wobble all over the place. Since he did get to 41 on this dose, I'd give him the full six cycles after the last greens. Then if you don't see greens, increase. That would be tomorrow morning. Which would also give him time to get any possible chicken spice carbs out of his system.

Wow! Who would have thought?! First ingredient on the list is sugar. Ugh. No wonder he shot up so high so fast. That sounds like a good plan. Thank you!

Unfortunately Caleb started out well enough today, but he spaced out on getting another test in to see how Lou was doing. Such a missed opportunity, but what do you do? I had him set some alarms to get at least a +6 and +9 in the future. I had to set alarms in the beginning too. We all have to start somewhere. :cat:

Don't be hard on Caleb. Lou probably didn't go into the shark zone today. I would have stopped testing with that +4.5 too.

I agree with Bellasmom...already at 10 cycles with no visits to the greenie..poor Lou...poor you :( Sorry...Luci hasn't been exactly seeing the green the last couple of days either..so we're in nearly the same boat - well not the boat exactly since they aren't surfing...but you know what I mean...

Signed, Sue - working on healing her back & Luci - waiting for mama's back to heal - and DH too - for taking such good care to get all of Luci's tests...even though it doesn't appear she's doing much with this dose either :( Hang in there Amanda!
