    Good morning!
    AMPS 167 shooting .75u

Boomer ate all of his overnight fuds except for most of the +6. He called me at 4:30 this morning to top up his +9 fuds so he got a small spoonful of chicken pate.

Allen ate very well last night and there is poop in the lb.

Hoping to go on a road trip to a town about 30 minutes away this afternoon with Boomer's permission.

On another note, we have new additions to our backyard wildlife. Our neighbourhood raccoon, Rocky, has a family now and there were 2 young raccoons eating the left over bird seed from our deck last night. And, we now have a pair of House Finches that are visiting our feeder.

Today's wildlife photo is one of the Wood Duck family that I found at one of the ponds close by. Really wish the male was with them but he was nowhere to be seen.

I did manage to photograph the House Finch yesterday and with him was either the female or a juvenile; not sure which yet.
The raccoons are problematic though...there have been occasions when I've seen Rocky in the daytime but it's not usual and normally when they visit it's too dark out and right outside my back door.

    Lookin' good, Deputy Boomer!

Neat on the racoon and wood duck families. Interesting about the house finches. I didn't think they could be found as far north as you are. We had lots and lots of them when we had our house in Brooklyn. They are not native to the East, and apparently back in the 1940s a dealer brought some to Long Island NY from California to sell as caged birds. He released them when he heard that the wildlife species law enforcement officers were about to raid his aviary. They thrived on Long Island and their descendants are thriving still, and now it looks like some have emigrated to Canada (lucky them!).

Every summer they are around and I had actually just mentioned to DH that I hadn't seen the house finches yet; the next day they're at our pond and our feeder. Love seeing them!
