    Good Morning L & L ~

Not liking the AMPS so today I gave him 2 drops, I actually used two different syringes using the suck up method. I will experiment with counting drops from a 0.1 dose and see how many drops I need to squeeze out.

He is loving being outside and I like that he is happier and is getting some exercise walking around; it is refreshing to see as he use to just eat and sleep while on house arrest. The downside is losing control: not knowing how much he is eating, possibility of worms again, if he does his BM outside I don't know if he is constipated or not. Everything has a pay off!

Here is a favorite spot of Bubba's waiting to see what's on the menu for the day.

We are dog sitting for our friends starting on Saturday night for a week so I will continue with the drops until after that commotion is gone.

Sending Vines for all Beans and Kitties in need.

Good luck with the new method! H&D have never been outside, and yet when I leave the door open they just sit and watch the birds and squirrels and don't have an interest of being out there. No doubt they're telling each other "I'm stayin here, we get spoiled rotten and lots of love and could be scary out there".........lol, it's great being able to bring in groceries and leave the door open.

Bubba was born in the woods to a feral Gypsy cat named Orgina. My friend rescued all the kittens when they were old enough and put them up for adoption. I think being outside is just in his DNA. Eventually my friend was able to trap Orgina and have her neutered. She wanted no parts of being "owned" and was released again. I wish Bubba didn't like the outdoors.

Bubba is a good mouser, even with one eye. :) Do you have a big property so you don't need to worry about traffic? Rex has been wanting to go outside to chow down on grass, which you know never comes back out until he's back in the house! Precious once escaped and when he was brought back in, he has shown absolutely no interest in being outside again... it must have been traumatic for him (this was before my time). If Keena gets out, he looks for something to hide in, which isn't good.

How did Bubba like being shot twice this morning??

It's funny all my kids were strays/dumps/ferals who had to learn to find food. They sit I .the windows and doors watching the critters yet the minute you touch the door to go in or out they run to opposite end of house. I guess they don't want to work at finding food.

Do you use revolution treatment? It would keep those worms from becoming a problem.

Boomer likes to sit at our screen door at night and watch for mousies on the deck. He does try to chase them but bangs into the screen door :smuggrin:
Good luck with the new dose!

Love the picture. I hope the two drops helps bring Bubba's numbers back down.

Yes Bubba is a good mouser with one eye. The first time I let him out after his eye removal ( about 10 days later) he came to the door within hours with a mouse in his mouth! He is really good!

He didn't mind the two shots at all. He minds the testing more than the injections.

Yes we use Revolution, but it does not kill tape worms and that is the type worms Bubba has had 3 -4 times. It only kills hook, round and whipworms. Darn!

The picture is great, Bubba is so handsome. Idjit goes outside too, he thinks he is a jungle cat and hides/naps in the bamboo some fool planted (before we bought the place). He has a curfew tho and has to spend the nights indoors.

Bubba has a before dark curfew also. He doesn't like it........

Bamboo! I love the looks of it and wanted it at our property line. My husband ( he has a landscaping business ) told me over his dead body! It is so invasive. Friends of ours bought a house complete with bamboo and the neighbor told them to get a machete to cut it down. He goes into the hardware store and said he needed a machete. The clerk said, "how much bamboo do you have?" LOL True story. So he cuts it down and made a really cute playhouse for his children.

Has to be good for his mental state to have the outside stimulation. Love the picture.

Does Forrest hang with Bubba outside?

I love the pics of Bubba outside! :cat:

I am going to have to learn to have kitties outside, but I also do not want Osha, Halloween or Mycroft going out. Don't know what we are going to do. :banghead:

Forrest does try to hang with his younger ( bigger ) brother, but he just can't keep up. Forrest is very content to hanging out on the side steps of the house or in the hostas right outside the side door. It would be wonderful if Bubba would do that, but he has the Gypsy blood running through his veins. His Gypsy momma would disappear from my friends farm for as much as a week and then just return.........Glad Bubba has only NOT returned for 2 different times when he was stuck high up in a tree over night and I had to go searching for him and then we had to get a ladder and do a rescue . He was about 5 acres away from our house on neighboring property. I think a fox probably spooked him. It's the pay off having a happy cat.......
