She seems to sort of back to normal. She's just howling constantly. And eating, could she be afraid of not getting food regularly like being out on the streets again. 1st dose of clindamycin given. I have to call regarding this. Vets instructions are 25mg twice a day. The actual bottle says to dose once a day. Dose can be up to 75mg. It could be that twice a day is easier since the dropper only holds the 25mg.

PJ is loving the water with the additive. She is dipping her feet in it drinking it. Hopefully it will help prevent issues with her.

Boomer does the opposite after a dental and seems to lose his voice.
Happy that the dental went well. Did she have any extractions?

Luckily no extractions. Dr said the premolars ave full resorption. One has root resorption. Since they already "missing" it's best to leave them alone as it would require extensive jaw surgery and apparently not bothering her. Not sure what he meant by that.

So happy the dental went well. We had a wicked storm the other night so my internet was down mostly yesterday. Was sending telepathic vines for Miss Olive. Glad she's eating and hopefully she'll settle down today. My vet told me it could take upto 48 hrs for anesthesia to completely get out of their system. Maybe she still feels a little funny? Not sure I believe that 48 hr thing but hey, just a thought.

Olive got your vines. Hopefully you got some rain out of the storm. Didn't you try brushing Leo's teeth before FME? What did you use?

We had a down pour for about 20 min which is good but the 70mph winds we could live without. No real damage, just 1 tree and it destroyed the pool with mud and the catio....well, was a disaster :arghh:

Yes, I brushed Leo's teeth twice a day with an infant tooth brush and gel from the dentist called Crosstex Vet Oral Health Tooth Gel. I sat in a chair, knees slanted down, put him upside down with his head toward me knees. Quickly brushed one side then the other. Hopefully you can figure out a method that works for you and Olive.

Just have to find sugar free toothpaste.

The catio got destroyed? That's awful. The kitties need their outdoor room.

Have to get the depot reestablished. Was just starting to see green on this dose, so going to hold it a few more cycles. That's right isn't it?

I missed Olive's dental, but happy to hear that it went well and that there were no extractions needed. She sure does love her fuds! Rusty only has 5 teeth, so we never have to brush them.

I'm so glad all went well with Olive's dental! Lucky she didn't have to have the surgery! I know you've got to feel good to have it behind you now. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
That's what Squallie had to have, massive surgery to take out everything; they cut his gums open in three places on each side, both top and bottom. They also had to drill into the jaw to remove the existing canines. He was 2 1/2 hours in surgery, tough on an old man.

Ouch on Squallie. Glad he is doing well. I knew it was extensive but not that much. Yes glad it's over. It the last big thing for her, hopefully. Repeat echo in a few months but that's it.

Were you able to read the ingredient list on the toothpaste that I use for Boomer?
When I brush Boomer's teeth, I get the toothpaste on the "brush" and go to wherever he is at that moment (definitely more comfy if he's on his desk or table) and I just come up behind him so that he can't back out and I start brushing. He raises his head, closes his eyes, and let's me do it (usually). I think he likes the feeling.
