No real news.....Just Miss China rockin' the juice!! :D:D:D:D:D

Got a phone call from the AL home that DM is in....they need Miss Kitty's shot record (Miss Kitty hasn't had any shots since she was a kitten)

When I first moved DM in, they had said they needed proof of vaccination, but I kind of forgot about it, and so did they...until Friday....then all the sudden the manager acts like if she doesn't get it immediately, Miss Kitty has to go! (the manager is a total control freak.....she is never wrong...about anything....she's very hard to deal with and most of the time, I'd just like to slap her silly)

So I guess I'll be taking Miss Kitty, a totally indoor cat that never leaves DM's room, to the vet for rabies and FRVCP this week.....a 15yr old cat :banghead:

Total waste of about $75 if you ask me. Going to have to sell what little stock DM has left to pay for it because my income won't cover it and her income is very tight with the costs of AL

I just hope that (when the time comes), if Miss Kitty is still with us, that one of the ladies living there will take her. She doesn't get along with my cats (or they don't get along with her) and she's just a perfect little cat for an older person. She's clean, easy to care for, keeps to herself and her "human" and is just a great little "old kitty"

Great pics of Miss Kitty - she looks very sweet and cuddly. It is unfortunate we have to vaccinate indoor cats. Idiotic really.

I'm glad your DM has a great companion like Miss Kitty. When my Dad was in assisted living, they let him have a small cat too. It helped provide him some focus.

Yeah, it really is stupid, especially considering her age and the fact that she never leaves mom's room. If someone comes in, she usually goes under the bed until they leave, so it's not like anybody would ever get close enough to touch her much less get bit by her.

She's very important to DM.....she's been with her through a lot of tough times. The death of my dad, several mini-strokes, heart surgery and several moves to new places. She's the "constant" in her life.

We had to pay a $500 pet deposit, plus we pay an extra $10/month for Miss Kitty …..they don't do any care of her at all...DM has to do it all, so I'm not sure what the $10 is for...I guess she breathes that much air....LOL

Hi Chris - one option to pursue. My vet signed a waiver or something for Leo to avoid all future vaccinations. His immune system is compromised from the Leukeran (chemo). Maybe your vet could do that for Miss Kitty since she is so old and her immune system may also be compromised. I think you get my drift. ;)

Just a suggestion. The paperwork could then be submitted to the county and the goofball landlord, control freak person.

Aw, I had no idea about Miss Kitty. How wonderful that they have each other! I fret about when I'm "too old" to have a kitty, especially since I won't have a wonderful DD like you as an advocate and back-up.

So I take it that's not DM in the picture with the tats?;)

LOL....No, that's a lady I snagged to help hold Miss Kitty so I could get a picture of her!! DM was in the hospital at that time and she was going to have to go to the nursing home for at least a little while before she could go back to her apartment (before we moved her to AL)

At that time, I was thinking I'd have to re-home her so I was trying to get some decent pics. She's got such a cute little spot on her nose....looks like she got into something she shouldn't have

Hope all works out ok, Chris
I’m with @JeffJ about getting vet to do a waiver for DM’s kitty who btw sure is sweet! Maybe vet can waive because at kitty’s age she might be at greater risk and would be terrible if she had reactions to the vaccines.

I agree with Jeff and Sina. A caring vet surely could not refuse to put a waiver in writing.

The LagoonMeisterin looks great! Carry on, China!!
