    Yesterday - Lagoon in PM!

More fun and games today - mom has already called at 5:14 this morning with med issues...hope things settle down soon...we'll get it figured out...but she is very mistrustful...phew!:arghh:

Luci seems fine and purry this morning - laid on the floor in the bathroom and let me brush her...she was sliding across the wood floor with no resistance with every stroke of the brush..silly girl...:)
She makes me smile in the face of the storm I'm currently in with mom.

Happy Sunday to everyone here in L&L land...may it be a peaceful and restful day for all!:bighug:

Is she in a facility with nurses? Do they give the meds?

My mom has been stressed with her mom being in assisted living for the past few years and she's the closest so she's responsible for many things for Grandma. Hang in there!

She's in an Adult Foster Care home - they are skilled aides - not nurses. However the medications are all in blister packs from the Pharmacy - as per the doctor's orders so it's quite difficult to get them mixed up. The issue today is that mom 'thought' she was supposed to be getting a couple of her pills in the PM in a cup - when in fact she was getting them in the AM in the blister pack. It just had to be shown to her that they were doing what the doctor had prescribed .... she's just confused and gets all upset ... so hopefully once she gets settled into this new place and calms down and learns that she can trust the people working there - things will be fine. I'm sure you can understand at 88 with some dementia it's very difficult for her to grasp all these changes...and it makes her nervous and upset... it's only been since Thursday...so we're all new at this and everyone needs a little time to figure out what to say, what to do...etc. etc. It'll take a little time but I'm sure everything will work out and she'll love it there...she already tells me she likes it so much better than the old place - and I say - then let's give it some time to get all the details settled out...
(it's just exhausting having to coach her thru this constantly - which is what I've been doing since the day she moved in)..it'll get better soon... :)

    How sweet.

Sending prayers as you deal with things with your mom. :bighug:
